Granted wish

Anna was woken by the guard outside, announcing that the prince arrived at their quarters.

At first she pondered on sleeping back but thought of her promise to Daciana.

She lazily stood up from the bed and got ready, then she went to the door to open it. To her surprise the door was jammed? She used all effort to unlock the door but failed.

"Did anyone lock the door from outside?.." she muttered. Instead of banging the door out of helplessness, she removed a hair pin from her hair and skillfully moved the pin in the key hole and within minutes, it unlocked.

"whoever locked this door should have known who to jail in." Anna placed the pin on her hair and headed to the kitchen.

Prince Andrien was already there by the time she entered. He noticed her at the corner alone while the other ladies occupied themselves with cooking.

"Don't you know what you're supposed to do or are you just being foolish?" Andrien appeared to her in a flash which made her tremble a bit. "I know what I'm supposed to do but I'm only confused." Anna replied looking elsewhere than the man in front of her. He seems much more taller, muscular, handsome- woah! what is she thinking?

"What's you're name?" he asked her. "Daciana." Annabelle blurted out. She didn't want to converse or even talk to this cruel prince, this was all because of Daciana and her so called crush.

"So you're a wolf?" "what?" "Daciana means wolf, since that's your name I thought you knew." Andrien glanced at her suspiciously and decided to read her mind.

He only did that with their permission or when the need arises.

' He actually believed that I'm Daciana ,lol, he's not only cruel but idiotic as well. ' He disclosed his mind reading.

"Now tell me your real name?" he scowled at her in anger because of the insults she laid on him.

"I told you I'm daci-"

"The cooking competition will end in 20 minutes!" The guard screeched and reminded everyone of the time.

"No need for that. I have already chosen the chef.". andrien spoke aloud causing the females around to halt on their work as silence filled the air.

"You!" he pointed at Anna.

"I've hired you our kingdom's new chef. come with me." She stayed rooted in her spot.

Why did he choose her, even when she didn't partake in this meaningless contest?

"Didn't you hear me? Come. with. me." His authoritative tone involuntary made her to follow him.

They walked passed many rooms until they finally reached outside.

Outside? She could recall vowing to herself that one day she would escape this slave prison. But why did this cruel prince grant her wish?

"From now on you'll be working on kitchen duties every single day until you come to me willingly to tell me your name." She simply blinked at him. She would never tell him her name, she concluded inwardly as the Royal gates opened letting them in.
