Feel like home

The next day, Annabelle made sure she got up before 6am. As usual, Susan was snobbing her. She didn't want that with her roommate and also needed friends.

"Suz can we be acquaintances and forget about the past?'' Anna asked convincingly. To her surprise, Susan smiled.

"Of course. After all, bygones should be bygones."

"That's good..So when do we start our work?"

"No no no. Today is a day off for all of us"

"Ohkay" Anna took a bath then went back to bed. By the time she woke up, Susan was gone?

"I thought she said we're having a day off, so where is she?" Annabelle went to the dinning room, no one was there. She checked different rooms, still no one. As she was roaming about, She bumped into someone.

"Sorry!"

"Don't be, I wasn't looking where I was going." The teenage boy pointed out.

"Are you new here too?" Anna inquired. "Yeah. I'm Noah, you?"

"Annabelle. Can we be friends?"

"I don't see why not."

"Awesome! We should find the others"

"Didn't you know?" Noah was staggered. "About what?" She asked Noah.

"The King threw a mini celebration for Prince Andrien's departure" Noah Answered.

"To where"

"Not sure, but I know it's to improve his powers since their vampires"

"So are you a vampire?"

"No, are you?".

"Nope..I can't believe that Susan didn't bother to notify me. that bi-"

"-At least you know she's a fake friend."

"Yeah..so tell me about yourself."

And from there, they initiated their conversation and didn't acknowledge when everyone arrived.

The servant guard was flabbergasted that they forgot two children, but they did not trouble themselves to ask.

"Today is a day off from work because of our Prince. Work commences tomorrow by 7:54pm" The guard announced.

Considering that boys and girls are separated, Noah went to the boys section, Anna the other side. She detected Susan and a few girls chatting so she approached them.

"Suz why didn't you tell me that you're going to the palace!" Annabelle queried. "Did I not tell you that today's a day off?" replied Susan.

"Yes, buh-"

"Then it's settled. I'm not at fault, your dumb brain is." She and her friends began to mockingly laugh, Anna retired to her room.

"Theirs no use talking to backstabbers." She murmured on her path out.

Wallux City.

Uncle Zane was reading a newspaper on his couch when the door bell rang.

"Who could that be?" Aunt Kathy asked.

"Go check." he simply replied.

She walked to the door and checked the peep hole.

"I think I know who." She unlocked the door.

"Good day Aunt." Andrien greeted. "Welcome dear, Come in." He got through the door only to discern his Uncle reading a newspaper on the cushion.

Zane sighted Andrien and gave him a welcoming hug. "Your father told me you'll come.. Make yourself at home" "sure" was all that could escape Andrien's mouth.

Nothing was wrong with this place, so why does his chest ache? Probably cause it doesn't feel like home.
