Chapter 43 - Retest?

After seeing the shocking power displayed by Milo everyone was convinced that he should be moved up to the X rated class. All of them knew now that if put up against Milo they wouldn't stand a chance.

The X rated class was something everyone wanted to be a part of, they received special privileges in the school and were given more leniency with their attendance. One common occurrence within the X ranked class was sending students to receive on site training, as well as allowing them to enter low ranked gates. This was because they were among the strongest in the school and would face less danger than other ranked students. Along with this, just by being in the X ranked class, many guilds would start to try and recruit you right out of school.

After picking up his jaw that dropped to the floor, Mr. Kruz got the class back on track and approached Milo.

"Have you considered retaking the ability evaluation?" he asked, "With what you just showed you'd easily make it into the X ranked class"

Milo hearing this had no idea that one could retake the ability assessment. He was planning to continue growing his strength for the year until his second year where he'd try for the X ranked class. After thinking about it, he asked Mr. Kruz what he needed to do in order to retake the ability assessment.

Mr. Kruz told him he would recommend him for the retest and from there the school would assign him a date and time to retest. Hearing this Milo was happy, as it meant it gave him a little more time to increase his understanding of his new ability.

After the conversation Milo went back to his space and continued to try new things he could use for the ability assessment. He tried propelling himself up with ice, spreading a field of ice spikes along the floor and more in order to help come up with more techniques he could use not only on the retest but during combat as well.

After class ended, Milo was on his way back to his dorm with Chris when he got a ping on his holo. There was a message that his retest would be the upcoming weekend on Saturday at noon. This gave him four more days to prepare himself and get any last second boosts to his strength.

"So you're going through with the retest? I figured you would after showing off something like that, you've been growing like a weed," said Chris

"Yep, I want to climb as high as I can now so that when I get out of school I'll be set," Milo responded.

"Not a bad plan, I won't be far behind you, so be ready for when I catch up to you," Chris said with a cheeky grin.

Milo and Chris headed back to their dorm, where they ran into Mark, Krista and Allana in the lobby, the three were talking about class, and when Milo told the three of them about the retake, they weren't all that surprised, but thought he may be trying the retest too early. That was until Chris retold the story of what had happened in their practical training class.

After hearing about the sheer amount of power that Milo demonstrated the group of friends were all shocked, only yesterday he had defeated a student but was unable to do anything that had been mentioned, unless he had been holding back his strength.

After excusing herself Krista sent a message to Milo and asked if they could meet in private as she knew about Milo's secret system and was curious about what he had done to get so powerfully so quickly.

After telling them he had something to do, he met Krista at the meeting spot she called, which was on the school roof.
