I just smiled at her and gestured for her to Walk in front of me towards the direction of the river. It was finally time to decide on the path we wanted to check out first, since we had already been to the meadow path before, I wanted us to save it for the last and explore the one she had not ventured into. On a normal day, I would have given in to my competitive instinct and agreed to her plans, but this was someone's life that we were bargaining with and using to play as if it was a piece of chess. I had to suppress my pride and act like the more mature one, which lead to me telling her that, if what she wants was for us to search tye meadow first, then I had no issue with it as long as we were not separated and together always.
