Chapter 276 Back at camp

A single swipe with the spear is all it took to destroy the Treant King. A rainbow colored wood dropped from the Treant King.

"Time to head out." Rex said.

Everyone looked at the wood in their hands and back. They were stupefied at how much wood they were carrying.

"We can drop them off at the entrance to the Labyrinth. We will need several more to fill the path to and from the Labyrinth." Rex said.

Everyone smiled because they would be able to have a nice trip over to the Labyrinth.

Rex acted like he pulled one out from his back. He actually pulled it out of his inventory, putting him at 899 pieces of wood in his inventory.

Since there was still a pending matter of drawing what the town would look like. Rex decided to use what he could to make the drawing.

Amber began to draw on the Treant wood that Rex had handed her. He found his explanation to be very vague at best.

"So first place the Labyrinth in the center. Then, the next place is almost a complete circle around it."

Amber heard this first and was not drawing it to Rex's liking. This was due to what he actually wanted.

Rex got another piece of wood out, putting his inventory to 898. He simply made a rough draft of what he wanted himself.

He used an X mark to showcase the Labyrinth. Around the Labyrinth was a U mark to showcase the fence.

Then he used an l mark to showcase a bridge going across where they came from to enter the Labyrinth.

Next, he used a T to showcase the training facility. It was directly in front of the l mark. Over to the left of it was a V mark to showcase the place where the leaders would stay.

He became too tired to continue anymore. He handed the start of the draft to Amber. She immediately kept it with her. She would draw it better at camp during the night.

The group exited the Labyrinth with the Firemane Horses following. The group was surprised to see them exit the Labyrinth with them.

The horses that were not tamed could not leave the perimeter. The one that Amber tamed followed her almost to camp before returning back to the others.

Once everything calmed down and the group was honestly about to sleep for the night.

Rex felt the pain from having the Goddess of Phoenixes symbol away from the Labyrinth. It was not much at first, throughout the night. It became extremely bad, almost to the point of having a numb arm.

"Please be okay." Rex thought.

That was just the beginning of his troubles. It was midnight, and only the crew was assigned to protect the camp was up.

Rex slowly crawled his way to one. He felt that his legs became numb once he stood up.

"Quickly get the Firemane Horse that Amber tamed. I need to return to the Labyrinth something has infected me badly." Rex spoke softly.

Two men quickly went and retrieved the Firemane Horse. Upon arrival, the Firemane Horse knelt down and got Rex on its back with the help of the warriors.

The horse darted to the Labyrinth. Upon just entering the area around it. Rex felt relief. The horse went on ahead inside.

Back at camp

The commander was not about to alarm the women with Rex. He knew that nothing could be done at midnight to help him or them at all.

He silently kept to himself while everyone slept peacefully throughout the night.

The following morning, everyone was shocked to hear about what happened to Rex. Everyone was even more furious that they were not awakened to help him.

"He probably is fine. If he is not, then my head shall be placed on a spear at your front yard. He should be okay if he already got the antidote for whatever infected him." The commander said.

"Bella, I know the deal was for you to come along. For now, stay here and help the vampire maids in gathering wood. Once Violet and I return, you will come with us." Lilith said.

"Yes, Mistress Lilith." Bella bowed.

"Come on, Violet." Lilith said, holding her arm up.

The vampire maids and Bella went to gather firewood. Violet and Lilith both went with two men from yesterday. This was to make sure the path they took was the same.

Four men guarded the campsite. While Iris and Liz both got the Builder Faction to start making a cart with the rainbow colored wood.

The Builder Faction also started to make a bridge. They were going to place the supports where the steps were located by the Labyrinth.

Using a weird measurement, four builders started the build for the bridge. They also watched where Lilith and Violet stepped to place markers for the supports.

Lilith and Violet both stepped into the Labyrinth.

While the vampire maids and Bella got to a decent spot to harvest wood. Some bandits used sealing chains around the women.

Using a blue handkerchief, all three of the women passed out. They were placed on some weird carts.

The bandits went off.

Rex heard a notification go off. He checked it out.

[Survival of the Strongest]

[Wait for twelve hours before going to rescue Bella and the vampire maids.]

[Time starts now.]

Rex saw the notification and fell down on the barren ground. He did not know why such troubles were coming at him now. He was not going to let anything or anyone try to harm the women close to him.

"What happens if I go rescue them now?" Rex asked.

[You will receive a full backlash for taking the seal of the Goddess of Phoenixes outside the Labyrinth before conquering it completely.]

[What Host felt was mild discomfort compared to the full backlash.]

Rex honestly did not know what to do. He knew waiting was not the answer, but receiving a full backlash was not good either.

Lilith and Violet came up to Rex.

"What happened back at camp?" Rex asked.
