Juvenile Delinquency (2)

When we returned to my house, I immediately helped James to my room. I took a set of pajamas and a towel, giving them to James. Leo simply stayed in the living room and watched TV.

"Here. Go take a shower and lay on my bed. I'll make some porridge for you." I said.

James nodded. "Thank you." He stared at me gratefully.

When I heard the sound of the shower turn on, I went down to the living room.

"Don't you think you were a little too violent just now?" Leo asked in a concerned tone.

"They deserved it." I replied.

"You knocked two of them unconscious and broke the shoulder of Adrian!" Leo exclaimed.

"I only dislocated his shoulder, he'll be fine after a few weeks." I replied calmly.

"Still, I'm worried for you." Leo said, his eyes wary. "I looked at the social media and found that Adrian is actually from the Spencer Family."

I raised an eyebrow. The Spencer Family is the owner of Spencer Industries, the largest arms manufacturing company in the country. I am very familiar with them since a lot of the weapons that I trained with were Spencer's products. However, I did not expect a juvenile delinquent would be a member of the Spencer Family, which completely stains their image.

"It seems that their family have been covering up for Adrian for quite a while now." I thought. Normally, one would expect the scion of a wealthy family being a deliquent would reach the front page of the gossip magazines. However, the complete lack of news coverage meant that the Spencer Family must have paid for people to keep silent.

"You don't need to worry." I assured Leo. "I can take care of myself."

After our talk, I headed to the kitchen to make porridge for James and dinner for Leo and I. I was expecting Leo to come over and disturb me at some point but to my surprise, he did not even show up. I furrowed my brows.

I headed back to my bedroom with the bowl of porridge to see James already laying down on my bed, seemingly taking a nap.

"James." I said softly.

James opened his eyes. He saw the bowl of prridge and sat up. I handed him the porridge.

"Thank you." James replied.

I headed back to the kitchen and brought dinner to the dining room. Leo was already seated. I sat opposite him. As we started eating, Leo was unnaturally quiet. I sighed.

I went back to the kitchen and headed to the fridge. Then, I took out a milk pudding that was inside the fridge and headed back to the dining room. I handed the pudding to Leo.

"Here." I ruffled Leo's head while handing the milk pudding to him.

After seeing the milk pudding, Leo looked up at me with his eyes brightened. "For me?" He asked in a cute voice.

I nodded and sat down on my chair, finishing my dinner.

Leo immediately wolfed down the milk pudding in delight. After finishing it, he hesitated for a while before asking, "Hunter, if I was being beaten up by someone, would you also retaliate like you did just now?"

My eyes immediately turned dark. Imagining Leo's face getting injured by someone other than himself, and imagining Leo's pained expression, I started becoming quite furious. "I would kill them." I said slowly in a very low and deep voice.

Leo looked quite shocked. It was obvious that he did not see me act like this before. Leo became silent, but inside, his heart was melting.

When I went back to normal, I thought for a bit. "Were you jealous just now?" I asked Leo.

"N-no! Why would I be jealous? Who would be jealous of a guy being beaten up?" Leo started flailing about frantically.

I rolled my eyes. "You're being way too obvious." I thought.

After our conversation, Leo became much more cheerful. He urged me to play video games with him.

"Aren't your parents worried for you if you go back so late?" I asked. "Besides, you didn't even inform them that you stayed here for dinner, did you?"

"Nah. It's okay. Whenever I don't appear at home they will think I would be in your house anyways. Also, I told them after school that you will be walking me home, so of course nothing bad would happen." Leo reasoned.

"At least text them once." I said.

Leo rolled his eyes, he reluctantly took out his phone and texted his mom saying that he would return home late. "There, are you happy?"

I nodded.

Afterwards, I went to take a look at James while Leo is turning on the Portable Station 4. I found James already asleep, the bowl of porrige was finished and placed on the desk across from the bed. I took the bowl down to the kitchen and washed it.

When I returned to the living room, Leo was already playing. I watched him play an RPG game in single-player mode. Afterwards, I tried to shoo him back home.

"No, it's just getting to the good part! Give me one more minute!"

I ignored Leo and carried him on my shoulders. I grabbed his legs tightly while his lower body was sitting on my shoulders. He started hitting my back with his hands.

"Hey, stop! Put me down!"

I went out the front door and placed Leo at the porch of his own house. Then, I returned to mine.

As James was sleeping in my master bedroom, I decided to sleep in the master bedroom.

During the night, I was woken up a few times by the sound of James flipping around on the bed. However, I tried my best to continue to sleep.

[The following section is in Adrian's POV]

After returning home with his right arm limping about, Adrian Spencer was brought to a rather luxurious hospital by his father. He was checked-in to the largest suite on the top floor and given the care by the most professional nurses and doctors. The medical doctor wanted to give Adrian a shoulder reduction and return his arm to the original position, but due to Adrian yelling and screaming about, he was forced to give Adrian an analgesic. After Adrian finally calmed down, the doctor immediately pushed Adrian's arm back in place as quickly as possible and placed his arm gently on a sling.

Later, his father walked in.

"I have given Mr. Spencer an analgesic and returned his arm to his original position. I suggest you keep his arm on the sling for 4-5 weeks for the shoulder joints to heal. I will also prescribe some pain relief medication for him considering his sensitiveness to pain." The doctor told Adrian's father.

After the doctor left, Adrian's father stood in front of Adrian, who was currently laying down on the hospital bed. "Jesus, Adrian, could you stop acting like a little girl? I could hear your screams all the way outside!" He scolded Adrian in a scornful tone.

"I-I'm sorry father...." Adrian whimpered.

"I have conducted a background check on the guy who assaulted you." Father Spencer said, handing Adrian a file.

Adrian used his working left hand to flip over the file and found the picture of the assailant on the top left corner, along with his name and information. "Hunter Lee..." He muttered.

"Father, I want to kill him!"

Father Spencer rolled his eyes. "Have you even seen the whole document? The guy's dad works for Ares International! You better not touch him, or else I'll disown you!" Father Spencer shouted.

"But! He humiliated-" Adrian whined.

"NO!" Father Spencer shouted back. "I'll be inviting this Hunter Lee to come over soon, so at that time, you have to apologize to him! Do you understand?"

"But!"

"No buts!" Father Spencer yelled. "Not only have you done nothing useful in your whole life, now you have even offended people you shouldn't offend! I'll repeat this again: Do not touch Hunter Lee, or else his father would definitely come kill our whole family, you understand?"

"Yes, Father." Adrian reluctantly answered.

"Jesus! What have I done in my life to deserve this completely incompetent son!" Father Spencer muttered before leaving.

Adrian watched his father's back, his face turning dark. After his father left, he asked a nurse to hand him his cellphone. He dialed a number.

"Hey, Joe!" Adrian exclaimed. "Are you still with that gang?"

After hearing a confirmation from the opposite side, he said, "I want you to do something for me..."
