An Unharmonious Start

Sakura couldn't help but be shocked by the fact that this unreliable guy was actually a jonin from the village. She briefly entertained the thought in her mind that Kakashi might be deceiving them, but that idea quickly vanished.

However, it was just a passing thought.

After all, Sakura knew that her team's leader, no matter how unreliable he might seem, wouldn't deceive them with something like this.

"Alright, I've introduced myself. Now it's your turn. Let's start with you."

Perhaps realizing that getting this group of problematic kids to speak up on their own would be a challenge, Kakashi decided to point out the first one himself. He directed his gaze at Naruto and said, "You first."

Naruto showed no signs of surprise and began, "My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like Ichiraku Ramen, and I dislike people who give up without trying. As for my dream, it's to become a great ninja!"

With a slight upward tilt of his chin and a faint smile on his face, Naruto spoke confidently.

"A great ninja?" Kakashi looked at Naruto with a hint of understanding in his eyes. In this world, becoming a great ninja held significant meaning, and almost everyone was aware of it.

"And you?" Kakashi shifted his gaze to Sasuke after Naruto finished.

Sasuke, who still wore a cold and aloof expression, introduced himself, "My name is Sasuke Uchiha. There's nothing I particularly like or dislike. As for my dream..."

When he reached the part about his dream, Sasuke's emotions seemed to fluctuate greatly. His lips twitched slightly, and his expression grew even colder.

"It's to kill that man and then revive the Uchiha clan!" Sasuke declared without a hint of concealment. The malevolence in his voice and the chilling atmosphere he exuded sent shivers down Sakura's spine.

The cold and ruthless aura he emitted made Sakura, who had been paying attention to Sasuke, shudder, and a trace of fear appeared in her eyes.

However, Naruto remained unfazed. He understood Sasuke's character well and knew that this was typical for him. Besides, Naruto had faced true killers before, and compared to them, Sasuke's current demeanor seemed ordinary.

"Although I expected it, this guy is completely blinded by hatred," Kakashi thought to himself, noticing Sasuke's emotional turmoil. He realized that Sasuke might become the biggest challenge within the team.

"Alright, the last one," Kakashi said as he shifted his attention to Sakura.

Sakura perked up immediately, her posture straightening. She began her introduction, "My name is Sakura Haruno. As for what I like, well, it's not really a thing... it's more like... a person."

As she reached this point, Sakura's cheeks turned slightly red, and she became somewhat awkward. She cast a subtle glance in Sasuke's direction. Although she didn't say it explicitly, her actions and expression conveyed her meaning quite clearly.

However, Sasuke's expression remained indifferent, as if he were entirely uninterested.

"Do girls at this age all have such complicated thoughts?" Kakashi couldn't help but wonder as he watched Sakura's daydreaming expression.

"What I dislike is Ino!" Sakura blurted out without any hesitation. She didn't pause for a moment.

On her list of most disliked people, Ino Yamanaka was undoubtedly at the top. In the world of teenage girls in love, romantic rivals were the greatest enemies. In Sakura's eyes, Ino was precisely that kind of rival.

"As for my dream..." Sakura's voice trailed off, and she hesitated for a moment. Then, with her emotions getting the better of her, she continued, "It's, um... to get married and, uh... start a family..."

Although she had momentarily frozen under Sasuke's icy gaze, once she entered her daydream mode, Sakura was entirely absorbed in her thoughts.

"Clap, clap. Alright, now that everyone has introduced themselves, and you've learned a bit about each other, let's end the small talk here. Today can be considered a simple introductory meeting. From now on, we'll get into the real business. Let's start the first mission tomorrow. Of course, it might also be your last mission," Kakashi remarked.

Seeing Sakura still lost in her own world, Kakashi gently clapped his hands to bring her attention back. Sakura looked surprised, her eyes widened as she tried to make sense of the situation.

"Uh, what does that mean, Kakashi-sensei? Why would it be the last mission?" Sakura asked, her expression showing her confusion. She couldn't quite grasp the situation.

"Hehe, well, you'll find out tomorrow. Don't worry about it now. As for the mission details, I'll explain them to you tomorrow. It's a special survival exercise to assess whether you can truly become genin. We'll meet at 5 AM sharp tomorrow at Training Ground 2. Don't eat breakfast, and make sure you're not late. I really dislike tardiness. Consider this a friendly reminder from your teacher!" Kakashi said with a slightly warning tone in his voice.

Kakashi's last words seemed to contain a hint of caution. After delivering this message, he disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving behind his puzzled students.
