Chapter Seven

Morningstar increased his speed driving us faster. Something that looked like a man was behind us. I could see his sharp fangs and his claws looked black and monstrous. His face was ugly and his eyes black, the whole eye black. For a moment there I resisted the urge to screamed so loud that it woke up the forest. The thing stood there under the bright full moon doing nothing just looking and looking.

“Hey do you see that thing ” I said in fear holding him tighter.

“Yes, don't look at it” Morningstar said still driving us.

All of a sudden one was in front of us snarling, another came out from the forest then another soon they were more than five monsters standing at our front and behind.

Morningstar stopped his bike in middle of the road looking behind him to see three more monsters and three in front.

“What is this” I said in a small scared voice.

“I need you to be calm” Morningstar said eyeing the things.

They kept on snarling and growling

“Come down” Morningstar gestured coming down from his bike and I followed.

“stay close to me” He said. My eyes were filled with shock but not fear as if I had seen this before.

One ran to our side in a speed that was terrifying trying to bite Morningstar's arm but he punched the thing hitting it with a fast speed. Another closed in on me and that natural instinct in me took over and I ran away from him in a fast inhuman speed. I refused to look at Morningstar as I did not want to see the shock that would be all over his face, if only I knew.

They closed in one after the other but Morningstar protected us, Fighting them but they refused to die, one came at me and I snapped his head off his body with my bare hands. A startled cry came out from me as I stepped back throwing the head away from me.

“Are you all right. I think snapping their heads kill them” Morningstar said snapping the other one head till he killed them all and immediately they turned to dust.

My head couldn't revolve around the fact that I just killed something with my bare hands and so could Morningstar. It all left me in disbelief.

“Let's go. I don't want it coming back” Morningstar said his voice bringing me out of shock as I climbed his bike and we zoomed off as fast as we could.

“Now tell me what the hell was that” I half screamed as soon as we reached my house.

“This is the first time I've heard you cussing from that pretty mouth of yours” Morningstar said smirking, putting his hands in his pockets looking way too handsome for my liking.

“I'm serious” I shouted again, eyeing him.

“Those things are called Unwanted” He replied leaning against his bike.

“The what” I asked my eyes becoming cold.

“They are....” Morningstar started but was cut short by the shrill ringing tone of my phone.

“Hold on” I gestured to him fishing my phone out from my bag.

“Where the heck are you young lady” Thea thundered, I had to shift the phone away from my ear.

“Thea am home, just outside” I pacified her as I knew she was really worried about me.

“ Then get here quickly, Chris is really worried, I am worried” She said softly.

“I'm coming in right now” I answered quickly heading towards the door.

“I'm sorry Morningstar, let's continue tommorow” I said moving faster towards the door without turning.

“Goodnight” Morningstar waved pushing his bike towards his house.

“Night” I shouted entering my house

Today felt good, I smiled as I walked down the hallway to the canteen, waving at some of the people I knew. A new day a new life, I felt refreshed, maybe something good is going to happen today.

“Hey what's got you smiling like this“ Morningstar asked grabbing my hands.

I smiled at him, shaking his hands off and continued my journey to my canteen.

“Nothing I just feel good today”

“About yesterday”

I stopped fully, turning to face him.

“Am sorry that I snapped at you at the cinema” I said with a sad smile

“Yeah but not about that” He said pausing

“Then about what? Did something happen yesterday” I asked with curiosity.

“You don't remember” He asked with the same curiosity.

“Is there something am suppose to remember”

“No nothing at all” He said squeezing my hands.

“Okay if you say so” I shrugged walking down to the canteen.

I sat on my seat in class, the second to last roll to my left looking outside the window, I was still in my happy bubble, ignoring the teacher teaching but I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. I sighed as I couldn't figure out what was happening.

Charity turned to me raising her eyebrow up as if asking me if everything was alright.

“I'm good, just thinking”

I turned to the window after I was done reassuring her. I thought about Morningstar and how he wanted to say something about last night, I felt as if I was missing something and it was getting on my nerves.

The sound of our homeroom teacher entering the class made me turn around to look at him. I saw a boy about my age following behind him and I knew it was a new student.

“Hi guys my name is Jackson pierce”

The guy introduced himself smiling at everyone, his smile was like the icing on top of a cake as he was really handsome, the kind of boy you meet next door unlike Morningstar that was beautiful, dark and brooding.

I smiled at the thought of Morningstar, my heart doing some weird flipping thing as I imagined his green eyes. I noticed all the girls checking out the new guy even charity who mostly doesn't care about such things, I had to admit that he was really handsome.

He sat in a seat in front of me while Morningstar sat at the back of my chair. I've been pretending that he wasn't there but it's hard not to notice when my body is in tune with his.

“Hello I'm Jackson ”

I was surprised when he turned to me and introduced himself again smiling cheerfully.

“I know I heard. My name is eleven”

I answered him confidently no longer the stuttering mess I was when I talk with Morningstar.

“Eleven” He asked raising his brows as people normally do when they hear my name.

“ it's a long story” I replied.
