Chapter 10: I'm here for you

Adrianna was not sure how long she has been crying by the road side. Her phone keep ringing but she was not answering to any of the call.

After five minutes, she finally answered one of the call. It was Alicia and she was still crying when Alicia called her.

"Ri...where are you? Your dad called me, he said you left home..."

"He doesn't love me anymore Ali...he chose his new wife and step-daughter over me. I have no one right now..." Adrianna sobbed through the phone.

"Listen here Adrianna Belle Winters, you are not alone. I am here for you. Now, can you tell me where are you?" Alicia asked.

Adrianna looked around but with her muddled head, she can't tell where was she.

"I don't know..." Adrianna muttered weakly. She was tired and hungry.

She hasn't eaten her breakfast yet and if she stepped out of her car, she believed people will recognize her.

"Okay...just turn on your GPS, I'll go to you. Stay in the car and don't go anywhere." Alicia reminded her and Adrianna turned on her GPS before she slumped over the steering.

She was in that position for quite some time. She was tired and she wanted to close her eyes and forget everything. As she was drowsy with her thought, she heard someone knocking onto her window. Adrianna raised her head and upon seeing Alicia. Her tears returned back.

Alicia gave instruction for Adrianna to open the door and as she opened the door. Alicia quickly hugged her friends. She patted on Adrianna's shoulder a few times. Letting her cried her heart out before she stopped.

"I'll drive, you take a rest! have you eaten yet?" Alicia asked and Adrianna shook her head.

"We'll get your breakfast on the way, please move to the passengers seat"

Adrianna did as she was told and she closed her eyes as Alicia started to drive. Adrianna doesn't know how long she slept. She woke up when they arrived somewhere. Adrianna looked around. The place was unfamiliar.

"Ali...where are you taking me?" she asked. Her voice was a bit hoarse because she cried so much.

"Your safe haven" Alicia answered.

Then Adrianna's stomach grumbled. She was really hungry now.

"What about my breakfast?" she looked at the back of the car but Alicia bought nothing.

"Someone cooked brunch for you, let's go out, you need energy, now you looked pale" Alicia stated worriedly.

Adrianna got out of the car and she saw a big house surrounded by nature. Actually not only the house, they were also surrounded by nature. Then she saw someone familiar coming from the front door of the house towards her.

Liam.

Adrianna stared at Liam as the man dressed in his shirt and pants stood in front of her.

Liam asked Kyle to contact Alicia after the scandal broke out and asked about Adrianna but Alicia said, Adrianna was at her home with her dad.

Then, Alicia called him once again to inform that Adrianna left her home after having a big fight with her dad. She was not sure where was she.

Liam asked Kyle to go to Alicia and both of them would tried to find her while Liam will locate her last location.

Alicia called her for about 5 times, finally she answered the call and when Alicia asked about her location, Adrianna couldn't tell.

Kyle asked Alicia to tell Adrianna to turn on the GPS. He finally can locate Adrianna's whereabout and Kyle drove Alicia to her location.

Liam asked Alicia to bring Adrianna to his 'safe house'. Actually, it was a house where he would come to relax when he was in need to find new inspiration. This place was surrounded by nature and there would be no one that would disturb Adrianna.

Alicia said, they were going to stop by at the fast food restaurant to get Adrianna's breakfast but Liam said, he will cook for her. So, Alicia just stopped by at Adrianna's apartment, while she was asleep and packed her clothes and bag and drove here.

He finished cooking right on time when Alicia pulled over. He took off his apron and walked hastily to open the front door. As soon as he saw Adrianna exit the car. His brow furrowed, he could see how much she cried. Her eyes were swollen and she looked pale too. So, Liam made his way towards her.

Adrianna was staring at him absent-mindedly. He can see that she was in stress and his heart were crushed bit by bit.

"Are you okay?" he asked. Not sure if he was asking the right question.

Adrianna said nothing but as she tried to walk, her knees wobbled and Liam caught her in his arm.

"Ri.."

"Adrianna..." Both Liam and Alicia was in shocked when she suddenly fainted.

"I'll bring her inside and asked Kyle to call Dr Jude" he told Alicia and Alicia quickly went to get Kyle.

Adrianna opened her eyes once again realized she was lying down on a bed. She looked around her and saw three familiar faces and one unfamiliar face in the room. They were staring at her.

Alicia quickly attended to Adrianna and helped her to sit on the bed. Only then Adrianna realized she has a drip on her arm.

"You fainted and Liam called Dr Jude to check on you" Alicia explained.

Liam? Since when Alicia was on the first name basis with him?

"Hello Miss Winters, I'm Jude, family doctor to Mr Lockwood, don't worry. There's nothing serious. You're just in stress and your sugar level were low, so I have to give you IV drip."

Then, Dr Jude talked to Liam a little bit about Adrianna's condition and soon after he left, Kyle followed him outside.

Alicia caressed Adrianna's face as she sighed. "Are you hungry? I'll bring your food upstairs"

Adrianna saw Alicia left the room. Then, there's only Liam and her. Liam slowly walked to sit on the chair in front of Adrianna.

"Where is this place?" she asked Liam.

"This is my rest house. I asked Alicia to bring you here until I sorted everything out."

Adrianna nodded her head and then she looked at his face. "I am sorry..." she muttered slowly.

"What? Why?" Liam asked, a little bit confused.

"Because of me, you were caught in a scandal" she explained with her hoarse voice.

Liam slowly moved from the chair to sit on the bed. Closer to her. "You don't have to be sorry. It was you who received a big blow, they covered my face but trust me, those motherf**kers will get their retribution soon"

Adrianna laughed a little when she heard him cursed. Liam tilted his head to look at her when she laughed.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Nothing, I just found it funny when you cursed at them" she said.

Liam smiled and then he took her hands and held them tightly. Adrianna looked at her hands in his.

"I am going to protect you Adrianna Belle Winters and you don't have to be sorry! remember you are not alone, I am here for you!" Liam looked into her eyes and Adrianna also did the same. Without realizing it, both of their heart were drawing closer to each other.

Then their 'staring contest were interrupted by Alicia who came with a tray of food for Adrianna.

Liam reluctantly released Adrianna's hand and backed to sit on the chair. Meanwhile, Adrianna also tried to control her pounding heart.

"Let's eat. I know you are hungry. Thank you Liam for cooking for Adrianna" Alicia who was sitting on the bed looked at Liam.

"Since when both of you were in the first name basis?" Adrianna asked.

"Don't be jealous, Liam told me to call him Liam because Mr Lockwood sounds old" Alicia teased Adrianna.

"I'm not jealous!" Adrianna exclaimed in denial.

"Of course you are not! Let's just eat" Alicia smiled.

Liam also softly smiled while looking at their banter.

Olivia smiled when she looked at the picture of a woman.

"Oh Emerald, look at you now. You were buried six feet underground while I am here, taking your place as James wife and of course, soon I'm going to send your daughter to accompany you"

Olivia chuckled as she looked at the old picture of them. She had crushed on James since he was in school but Emerald was always in between them.

They were a school sweetheart. No matter, who came in between them, they both wouldn't separate.

Olivia was jealous of Emerald. She was the most beautiful girl in their school, with her brunette hair and green eyes, like an emerald. She also got the heart of James, the heartthrob of the school and a rich man.

After they finished school, Emerald became a model and James went to further his studies, Olivia was trying to contact James but she never succeed. Then, she heard they got married!

Olivia was burned in envy. Then, she got pregnant with Nancy from her relationship with a married man. The man refused to acknowledge Nancy. She was chased out by her parents when they knew she was pregnant with a married man child.

But after 18 years, luck was finally on her side, Emerald passed away because of cancer leaving James as widower. She used her connection to be in the same circle as James and looked at her now. She's the official wife of James Winters.

Now, she only have to get rid of James' daughter, Adrianna. Then, everything would become hers. No one is going to look down on her and Nancy anymore.

"Mother, when are we going home?" Nancy asked.

"Soon, wait until James calm down a little bit!"

Nancy huffed and sat back on the bed. She was bored staying in the ward.

Luckily Jace always came to visit her. They both couldn't get their hands off each other. They even sneak out to the have s*x in the store room.

Nancy was happy. Soon, everything would be back to normal. She got Jace and she also wouldn't left the Winters family.

She smirked when she remembered Adrianna's word last night. She was really wanted to stab Adrianna with her steak knife when she said, she was living off her mother.

Nancy can't wait for Adrianna to finally lost everything. Love. Family. Popularity and soon wealth.
