Chapter 53: Places Are Less Fun When You Must Fight In Them

Luna’s POV

My eyes widened fiercely when I felt AJ wink out of existence.

This was different than that time he had locked me out of my domain for two weeks. And I didn’t care whether or not the Moon Goddess herself had taken him on some vision quest. It had still been a crappy thing to do. Typical AJ, really, when you thought about it.

Then I remembered that I was trying to be nicer to him because he really was trying to be more thoughtful.

Plus, there was a decent chance he was dead now. So, I should probably show a little more respect.

Seriously, though. He was just, gone. Whereas last time, I could tell that he was just in a trance, or being a little baby. Wait, no. A challenged youth. And, now he was dead. And I had spent most of my hours being able to talk, making fun of him.

That just wasn’t much of an introduction to my new life as a wolf.
