Chapter 34: You Seem Unaware That He Left
After a long silence, where we both stared each other down far longer than I’d have thought necessary, Luna finally spoke.
“A little freedom might be nice.” She said.
“I can’t believe you’re worried about that at a time like this. You can have all the freedom you’d like! But after Maxx is saved. Come on, Luna, we have to have-”
“I want it now.”
What on earth was she on about? Couldn’t she see that we were exhausted, lost, and without a mate?
“Luna, but our mate is missing. He’s out there somewhere, and he needs our help!”
Luna stood and came to me faster than I’d expected her to. “I’ve been missing too, AJ. Can’t you see that? You spent so much time looking for your mate that you forgot that I’ve been here all along.”
