chapter fifteen

I sat there lost for words my head spun his words repeated in my head tears rolled down my cheeks my head hurt my heart ached I needed to leave i needed to do something

"Sarah say something "

I turned to look at the half empty plate I then spoke up

"Lucifer what can I say ? You've chosen her against me there's nothing I can do if you care about me ... If you even have a heart in you let me go there's no need for me to be here your just gonna kill me and Freya to watch her take our place ?" He sat there looking at me attentively he raised his hand to touch mine but recoiled when I pulled my hands to my chest

"I'm sorry but ... Its for the best " my eyes widen when I turned to face him my eyes now burning with pain and hurt

"A choice it's funny I wish I had being given a choice from day one I never wanted to be mated to you and yet look at it " he opened his mouth to say something but closed it

I smiled as tears streamed down my cheeks I wiped them with the back of my palm sliding down the stool before glancing one last look at him

"I thought so" i added and walked to my room hugging my shoulder

I immediately threw myself onto the bed when I screamed into the pillow all of my pain ... My rage I hated my fate I hated my life I hated the fact my mafia mate was cold hearted

After an hour of crying I dozed off

I woke up to a knock on my door

I ignored the first but then my door opened slowly letting out a scary creeking sound

"Sarah?" I instantly got the scent of my mate ?

I slowly rise on my elbows looking at lucifer walk into my room shirtless with a  PJ pants on his toned chest showing off in the moonlight which peeked into my room

He walked up to my bed side and sat down

"What do you want ?" I asked looking away from him he then grabbed me by my chin forcing me to look at him his eyes turning black his piercing gaze made me squirm

"What do you want lucifer ?" I asked looking into his now black orbs

"You" that word made my stomach flutter my palms sweat my throat close my cheeks burn my eyes twitch

"Well it's a little to late because I don't want you "

Saying that made my heart ache I knew it was lies but he can't keep playing mind games with me his stone cold heart made it clear his announcing Olivia as his mate and he wants me to watch it watch him grow a family with her watch me spending his free time with her I could possibly say I hated the moon goddess for choosing me as his mate I am nothing but a weakling the only thing strong about me is my wolf Freya without her I'd surely be killed

"Sarah don't say that okay ...I'm a fool I can't be with you ... You don't belong in my world it's dangerous for you and for me I can't possibly be thinking of mating with you when I have so many enemies who want me dead if I announce Olivia as my mate they might kill her yes but I wouldn't hurt it wouldn't kill me but you ... Your my mate "

Tears streamed down my cheeks I shut my eyes and opened it again pushing his hand off my face

"So this is all about me being safe ? You don't care for me you don't care for anyone but yourself how do you think I feel and worst your keeping me here lucifer the best thing you could do was let me return home don't keep me here please " he kept quite looking at me the word unsure written all over his face

"I can't .." he then stood up to leave

"You cant?" I said laughing hysterically tears dripping down my chin

"No its not that you can't you can your afraid my parents and all those alphas who were present when you 'forced' me out of my pack will use me !?" He stood there hands crossed over his chest his jaw clenching staring at the floor

"Well guess what they care about me they wouldn't hurt me even if they knew it was right to use me against you they wouldn't do that because they care about how I feel !" He looked up at me his eyes widen his black orbs glistening in the moonlight

"Sar-" i cut him off

"Get out lucifer I don't want you to come near me do that one thing for me and leave me alone Olivia's waiting for you " he hesitated but after a moment nodded and walked out I jumped back into my bed and started to cry as another knock on the door came

"Go away please " i said gritting my teeth Freya tried to calm me down but it only made it worst because I could feel her pain her anger her frustration

"Sarah it's me Seth " I sat up and wiped my face with the back of my palm

"Come in " i said grabbing the glass of water on my night stand and taking a sip

"Wow this rooms filled with you " he said walking over to my bed side

"Huh lucifer painted it " he nodded after taking a seat where lucifer was once seated

I sigh turning to one of the paintings of me smiling it look so real like he was there when I had that smile it was as if that memory of me smiling was engraved in his mind

"You okay ?" He asked me resting his palm on my cheek

I nodded and looked at him my eyes filled with tears at the rim

"It's okay I've never being rejected because I haven't met my mate as yet but ... I'm sure it's painful "

I bit my bottom lip nodding to him his statement

"Well should I stay the night with you ?"

"I don't want you to spend your free time with me I know you've been tired with all this planning " he smiled wiping a stray tear of my face with the pad of his thumb

"I'll stay then" i smiled when he grabbed a spare blanket from my closet along with a pillow and walked to my room armchair not long after breaking the silence

"Goodnight Sarah "

"Good night or wait is it still night ?" He chuckled before pulling out his phone and checking the time

"Well no it's 4 in the morning " my eyes widen

"And your coming from the hall now ?"

"Well yeah I was about to sleep when I heard you cry " i smirked

"Seth ?"

"Hmmm"

"Well there's place on the bed you can sleep here if you want " after a few seconds I heard footsteps as the other side of the bed sank

"So uh your mateless now ?" He said casting me a side glance

"Yeah Seth I am " i said smirking I turned onto my side and faced him

"Okaaay" he said turning to face me

I raised my hand and cupped his cheek not long after he grabbed me by my waist pulling me toward him

"I can't touch you until lucifer rejects you but for now this will do " before I could even ask what will do his lips crashed onto mine

It was warm and tasted like alcohol his tounge parted my lips and locked with mine as he bit my bottom lip not long before pulling me ontop of him making me straddle him

I giggled just when he started trailing kisses down my neck to my collar bone

Freya was furious at me ... I also didn't like this but if lucifer could meddle around with Olivia so could I

I always hated cheating I never was a fan of it people who did it annoyed me why commit to something you have no intention to keep by that promise ? Exactly

I pulled away from him as his hand rubbed circles on the small of my back his hard length under me growing harder by the second I pulled myself off covering myself with the blanket

"That was ..."

"Amazing ?" Seth asked smiling at me

I smiled sourly "yea kinda "

I didn't enjoy it infact it only made me feel worst about myself I wonder if lucifer feel the same ? No Sarah stop it he don't care about us not now not ever

"I'll let you rest " Seth said before turning to face the other side and dozing off as I did the same
