CHAPTER 102: Her Rescue

  RUBY

Three guards unlocked the door and I watched them walking inside the room

"Here, lady." A guard placed a plate filled with bread and poached egg in front of me along with a glass of water.

Gladly, after Michael left, he didn't turn off the lights of the room I was in. Although it was dim, I could see everything clearly. The room was so small that it seemed like a box. Also, the carton boxes and rods were eating up a lot of space in it.

Also, Michael didn't place the gag in my mouth again. So I could talk with the guards. I said to them, "I am starving. Untie me."

Another guard approached me and started untying the thick ropes around my wrist. Then he said, "You will be tied again after eating."

"Okay," I mumbled and took the plate. "Thank you." I smiled at the guards, and they were dumbstruck at my reaction. I was pretty sure that the guards expected I would scream and shout, throw tantrums—but I did none of those.
