19. Ninety

••

It is one o'clock in the morning. Aera woke up from her slumber. Feeling her throat dry, she got out of bed and went out of the room to the kitchen. Unfortunately, all the lights have been turned off. Aera has to go back inside to get her cellphone, the box object to help her give light.

When she opened her cellphone and intended to turn on the flashlight, she looks three incoming messages from the same person. But she doesn't open it right away. She can do it later because it just opened a message. It's already late anyway, who will have thought I open my phone.

Aera stepped out of the room into the kitchen. Now, things around her are clearly visible even though it is not too bright. At least Aera will not worry about herself bumping into something and causing trouble.

It's actually easier to turn on the light, but Aera doesn't feel the need because she's only going to the kitchen for a while to get some water.

Clack..

The fridge opened, revealing some cold drinks and other cooking ingredients. Aera quickly took a glass bottle containing mineral water and poured it into a large glass.

Just by looking at it, Aera could already feel how cold and fresh it is when this drink passed through her dry throat.

After finishing her drinking, Aera returned to her room. Already felt the dryness of her throat, but for some reason, Aera doesn't immediately drink the water. Maybe she needs a comfortable position when drinking, so she takes the drink to her room to accompany her back to sleep later.

Aera's eyes withered, and her eyelashes felt heavy show that she is actually sleepy. She forced herself to walk this far just for a big glass of water. Aera calmly walked through the living room and returned to her room. She sees someone closing the door to her room from the inside. Instantly she stiffened between fear and alertness.

What if it is a robber or a bad person? What if it turned out to be a ghost?. Aera doesn't know what to do. Should she check into the room or ask someone to help her in this house?. Her determination was already made up. She ventured to go to Hyungtae's room. There's no harm in asking for help first, it will further ensure her safety.

knock knock..

Aera knocked repeatedly on Hyungtae's door. But there is no reply from the owner of the room. There is no other choice but to force her way in. Hyungtae may be already asleep and doesn't hear her knocking on the door. It doesn't matter if she is considered impolite for entering someone else's room without permission. Aera knows she is wrong, but that doesn't use at crucial times like this.

"Kim, are you sleeping?" Aera asked from the door. She spoke from a distance, without realizing that in the bed where Hyungtae used to sleep, the owner is not there. Hyungtae doesn't sleep on the bed, then where does he sleep?

Aera checked on Hyungtae's sofa and study room but to no avail. There is only one place she hadn't checked, the bathroom.

"Where are your manners, Aera? You can always approach a man in the bathroom." Aera cursed herself. But back again in her principle. It's not polite, but if you're in danger, then it's understandable. Finally, Aera opened Hyungtae's bathroom door, and the result is the same Hyungtae isn't there. Between relief and no, she wanted to find Hyungtae as soon as possible but also would feel awkward if she find Hyungtae in the bathroom.
