"Danny," Derek said.
"What are you two doing here?" Danny did not look pleasant. He looked angry.
"Let him go," Taaliyah walked over and took Danny's hand away. Taaliyah stood next to Derek.
"We have to talk Derek," Danny said to Derek.
Derek looked at Danny for a minute and agreed to do it.
"It's fine," he told Taaliyah and walked away following Danny to another aisle of books.
When then a stepped aside, the two boy were not alone but joined by one more person. Derek got tensed. He ended up in a place where he should not be and heard what he should not have and now he understood he is going to face the consequences for the lifetime.
Taaliyah lurked around the shelves, worried. But then an idea lit in her head. She took out her scarf and put it around her head and walked the aisle the boys went to speak. She stood behind them and they did not even notice here. They were discussing seriously about something. "Derek, see we have only one thing to tell, first see this image then you can decide straight about what we are going to tell you," Danny took out his phone and showed a picture. Derek was shocked. He was not expecting it. "We will leak the photo and it to both parents', teachers, and our principal," he said and smiled. Taaliyah wanted to see what the picture is about but she could not take the chance to get caught. She wished she took her phone with her to record the conversation. "My stupid ass brain," she cursed herself. But then she felt something in her pocket. "Oh my god, yes, it's Derek's phone," she took them out and began to record it. She had no jdea why she thought if doing it. But she just did it.
"Listen boy, What you heard about Flynn now, you did not hear it, many students in our school are related to drugs not just senior Flynn, but you cannot at any cost leak this information to others. My brother and Flynn are friends, they do it sometimes, but he is trying to quit, his career will be effected, so if you dare leak it you will be taken care for good. Along with the other one who heard it. Silence her and keep quiet, if I see you making any move, we will not forgive you. Derek, Danny and Flyyn was joined by Aaron who us Danny's elder brother. Flynn's classmate. Taaliyah was shocked and covered her mouth. She dropped the book she was holding along with the phone inside. She quickly walked away leaving the book on the floor. The boys could not see the person or who heard them. They missed the person.
"Damn it," Flynn cursed. "Remember Derek, this is a warning, don't dare disobey us," he said and left followed by Aaron and Danny who patted Derek's shoulders. Taaliyah had run back to the music room. She sent the audio file to her phone and made sure it was delivered. Then she deleted the audio from Derek's phone and decided to pretend that she never heard it for his sake, to not cause trouble for Derek.
Few minutes passed and Derek walked back to the music room. She flung Taaliyah sitting in front of the piano. He walked towards her pretending to be fine and smiled wide.
"There you are, I thought you left the place without telling me,"
"I would not do that," she said and smiled back. She concealed her thoughts completely.
"I have to leave soon," she said. Dad will come by Five," she said.
"it's only 4.30, half an hour more," he said and sat close to her. He looked at for sometime while she looked away and touched the piano keys.
"I will teach you next time you will come here," he promised her. "When will you come here?" he asked her.
"One week later, I have to take a book, help me take a book," she said and got up. Her bracelet fell from her hand.
"Wait," he said and got up. He picked the bracelet and showed her.
"Oh my god, my mother will kill me, its gold," she said and hurried.
"You like bracelets?" he asked her.
"I like it yes, it was a gift," she said. "Mom let's me wear it during vacations, it's not allowed in our school,"
"I know," he said. "Show me your hand," he asked he to extend her hand to them on himself.
She nodded and showed her hand. "No wonder aunt does not let you wear it," he smiled and looked at her. He saw her smiling too. His heart skipped a beat. His fingers shivered as it touched her skin.
Taaliyah feeling his warm skin against hers blushed instantly.
"Done," he said and they walked down. He helped her choose a back and they finalized 'Percy Jackson And The Lightening Thief,' leanred that she likes fantasies the best. Taaliyah waved at him and went to the counter to check in the book. She saw her father entering the library compound on time. She looked back at Derek once again and smiled. Then she left with her father.
"Why do I have a feeling that you love her?" Derek heard a familiar voice behind him. The smile stopped and he turned around. Little did Taaliyah know the event that was awaiting her and also Derek.
"Get lost," Derek said and walked away. But he was pulled back. Everyone looked at them.
"I will show you," Danny warned him. "Since you have messed with me," he threatened her.
"Who is fighting here?" Someone asked the boys. Derek turned around immediately.
"Derek come here, don't get bullied,"
"Sir," he said and bowed.
"The audacity to make trouble in a public place like library, bullies like you should be expelled from school, which school do you go to?" Sitar warned the boy and tried to scare Danny.
"No sir," Danny said and bowed. He smirked at Derek and left.
Sitar looked at Derek who looked pale and confused. "Come with me,"
"Sir," Derek said and followed him.
"Someone wishes to meet you," Sitar informs him and opened the office room. Derek stood there shocked.
