With Ghidorah finally stopping his growth, Kon looked at him. Monster Zero's face smug with the look of it already won. Kon still slightly scared, not of Monster Zero but of losing Junko, starts edging towards her unconsciously. 'I don't care if I have to leave this world, but I am not losing my only family here.' Kon thinks to himself.
There was only one problem there.
He started thinking of the worst case scenario.
Without being able to come out of that mental loop of seeing her disappear, Kon's fur started turning black slightly. Junko feeling the dread and the despair from Kon, looked over and saw what was happening. She flew over as fast as she could, but a gravity beam from Ghidorah stopped her in her tracks. She put up a magic barrier in time to block, but she was pushed back into one of the mountains behind her. She cried out in the shock, not necessarily in pain though. And she was pushed into the mountain to where she was embedded into the mountain side.
But that didn't matter to Kon though.
He heard the cries and looked back. He froze. Ghidorah took this as a sign of him in despair, and started laughing. "What's wrong. Not strong enough pup. Look, how about I make it easy for you and just end you nice and quickly. Although for you it'll be an eternity it'll be quick and easy for me HAHAHAHAHA!" Monster Zero bellowed.
Kon just stood there still, body completely frozen. Ghidorah started changing the weather around them. Causing a storm to emerge. Using the lightning from the storm to charge him up, he started to ready his strongest gravity beam yet. Intent on only destroying the one in front of him. Before he could get much farther into it, his body became lighter.
'Hmm, what's wrong.' Monster Zero stopped and checked his body, only to realize that one of his heads was missing. The shock of it stopped all pain from coming from the missing part. He looked back at Kon, still stuck in his original position he left him in. Only his fur was more black now that before.
Ghidorah started to get a feeling of dread. 'What's going on. He hasn't moved and the others aren't even putting a scratch on me. What is this thing doing?' He focuses on the fox in front of it. More wary of it than it was ever before. Not knowing what had happened to cause his head to disappear. The regeneration of said head started and it was already back, but it only caused Monster Zero to get more curious as to what is happening. In it's mind it's still won, but doesn't know at what cost will that victory be know.
Junko finally getting up and out of the hole that she was embedded in, saw that Kon was looking at the hole, lost in thoughts. Junko trying to feel anything through their connection, realized that she couldn't. Or rather, that it was entirely to quiet on Kon's end of the connection. Junko not knowing what this meant, only got more worried.
However in Kon's mindscape, its a lot different. In it he was in his demi-human form with his tails and ears out, looking around. 'Huh, my head is surprisingly empty, who would've guessed.' Kon making jokes to help himself out. 'Okay, so where am I, last thing I know is that I was facing Ghidorah and that's it. It's a blank.' The environment around him started changing. It was just nothing, to now turning itself into a forest with a lake. But on the other half of said lake, the water, the woods, and everything was a darker shade of what was on his side. And on that side, he could see a mirror copy of himself, only black hair and fur, with instead of gold eyes, they were blue. He started walking towards that copy of him. He made it to the waters edge before he stopped. His counterpart did the same.
"Huh, will I do a walk on water thing right now to spice things up?" and as he said that stepped forwards stood on the water. "Yep, check one off the bucket list." And so he continued forward toward the other him.
Both step by step coming closer, Kon however finding it more difficult to see the person the closer he got for some reason. And eventually finding it harder to walk closer to that other him. That's when he started feeling weaker, and when he looked at himself, there were only cracks and pieces missing like he was a stained glass window, and the other him did the same thing in unison.
'Not ominous at all. But this does make sense from the what I saw Uncle Iroh showed me a while back. But, I wonder, do I have a split soul, or is it something like personality issues, that would explain the headaches of the past ugh....' Kon thought to himself.
But from what he could gather, he would just look at himself and see the parts that he's missing be filled in on his darker counter part, and what the counter is missing be filled in on him.
Just to mess around he would start to do different poses, from all shapes and forms, from Jojo's poses, T posing and others. 'This is more entertaining than I thought.' But as he continued, his head would start to hurt more and more.
"Okay what's going on now?" Kon asked.
"It's just I'm taking over for a bit." The darker Kon said.
".....Could've just said something earlier than just letting me do this, it's embarrassing now just thinking of it, I hate cringy things, AAA!" As the Light Kon started rolling on the ground back and forth just thinking of what he was doing before hand was seen, even if it was by 'himself.'
"He, it was interesting, and besides, remember I'm just the emotions you locked away you know, if anyone should be rolling on the ground it should be me." Dark Kon said.
"Oh yeah, but why are you able to talk, I thought that I would, ya know be feral or something. Since I seem to be the Sane side of things, wouldn't that make you the Insane side of me?" Light Kon asked.
"Yes and no. Again, I'm just the emotions that you have bottled up, and as a cause of extreme stimulation, 'I' come out. No thoughts, no thinking involved, just all instinct to do whatever I feel is most at the time....Thinking about it now makes me feel like a edge lord..." Dark Kon said while holding his hands up to his face while crouching down. "Why did you have to bottle everything up..."
Light Kon just sat there, no answer coming out. Just kept looking down.
"Well, until then, whether or not you like it we're stuck like this till you can stop holding everything in. If ya wanna think about it it's kinda like Bleach. Only I won't be a dick. Now that you came here, it'll be easier the next time, but just warning ya, I hope it ain't for a while, if you keep having these situations happen, neither me or you will be here. It'll only be an insane 'us', and nothing will change it okay?" Dark Kon stated.
"Fine dad." Light Kon retorted. Still trying to make a joke of the situation. Old habits die hard.
"Anyway, I'm pretty sure the fight is still going on. But, just be careful around Junko, what's happening is most likely gonna make her scared of us, ya know. Even a rabbit will attack if it's pushed into a corner ya know." Dark Kon said.
Light Kon nodded. And getting light headed, both of them fell down next to each other. Losing sight, Kon blacked out and when he came too, he was in front of Ghidorah, only missing parts and pieces of his body, two heads pretty much shredded only held on by pieces of skin and muscle. The last head, staring at Kon with hatred and fear.
Kon was looking at Ghidorah, and then looked around. The entire mountain range is destroyed, rearranged at best. Ice spikes and holes through the mountains everywhere. Along with some sort of darkness that radiated pure evil and corruption. He turned to see Junko looking at him, and what he saw made him sad.
Her face was just staring at him in shock, she's on the lone mountain untouched by anything, even the grass in the valleys around it are fine. Although he is still feeling so many emotions from himself its almost maddening him again, he can't tell if she's also afraid of him. He looked at the other two who were there to originally try to help, only to see that both of them are also hurt, and looking at Kon in apprehension and fear.
Not wasting anymore time, Kon turns to Ghidorah who's almost done healing, and prepares his magic to seal him in ice. If he can't fine tune it to what Junko could do, he's just gonna shove as much magic into his seal as possible. And that's what he does.
With Ghidorah starting to thrash around, it's too late. It's now stuck in the ice, not able to move. Kon then causes a giant portal to form underneath it, sending it down to Antarctica like how it was done in the movie. He looked again at Godzilla and Mothra, and started moving towards them. They started to get ready to fight Kon, and with that Kon stops.
"...I'm sorry, I don't know what I did while I went insane. I don't know if I hurt you, but I hope that you can forgive me." And as he finishes saying that, he sends some healing magic to them, Godzilla was about to launch an Atomic breath if it wasn't for the fact that he started feeling better.
He started walking to Junko, who only followed him with her eyes. He got closer to her and transformed into his demi human form. Shocking both Godzilla and Mothra, but he couldn't care less. He walked the rest of the way to Junko at the top, and finally just stood in front of her kneeling frame. Still in shock. Kon starts shaking, and can't say anything.
He's starts to cry, not knowing what to do, his hair and fur start changing back into a mix between white and black. And when he thinks he's about to fall back into that world he met his counterpart in, he gets pulled into a hug by Junko, shocked at her finally moving. And still in emotional turmoil, he just clings to Junko and let's it all out. Crying it all out, the pain and sadness, even though he knows he didn't lose her, the fear of it happening was too much, especially when he can't see his own family anymore.
They both just sat there. Not caring about anything in the world besides themselves. Not the giant creatures only a little ways away, watching them both. The only sound of nature is the wind that was moving around as a breeze, as if to comfort the small frame letting out all its grievances with the world.
The cries that echoed off the mountains, making a melody that would cause even the strongest hearts to soften at its sound.
