"Errrr, Commander? We've got a visitor," Tian shouted up to them. He'd been put on duty, with one of the new gold mercenaries, to keep watch from the doors, and ensure that they weren't caught unawares by any Farefax attacks. Vol had known it might have been an unnecessary precaution, but he still didn't have enough of a sense for the Farefax strategists to guess how they might respond to Karth's capture.
Vol and Harland paused on the stairs with a frown. They'd been making their way towards the doors themselves, to inspect the troops, and the progress they were making in seeing the bodies burned. What they hadn't expected was a visitor.
"…Lady Tiller," Vol said. He turned around, to ensure Batinkog was still trailing along behind them. The man returned his look, as silent as a ghost, knowing full well that his work would soon be required as a translator.
