The progress in Vol's strength was undeniable to him now. Even if his stats hadn't gone up, his ability in combat certainly had.

And then the bell of the System rang out for the first time in a while, announcing the completion of a Quest and the allocation of Vol's new stats. Now there was a feeling that felt good. Vol had become so accustomed with the current state of his body that he could tell instantly what the improvements in his stats meant for his combat abilities – at least to a certain degree.
