Chapter twelve: He was always head-on with his strategies, but never too aggressive.

"I did all this because I like you. I asked you out because I've been meaning to ask you the same question since we entered our adolescence. we haven't seen each other for five years and now do you think I'm going to let this chance slide now that I get to see you every day for the next three months? Hell no."

Rose tried to close her eyes and turned for the eight times.

"I did all this because I like you. I asked you out because I've been meaning to ask you the same question since we entered our adolescence. we haven't seen each other for five years and now do you think I'm going to let this chance slide now that I get to see you every day for the next three months? Hell no."

She turned again and grabbed a pillow and stuffed it on her face.

"I did all this because I like you. I asked you out because I've been meaning to ask you the same question since we entered our adolescence. we haven't seen each other for five years and now do you think I'm going to let this chance slide now that I get to see you every day for the next three months? Hell no."

She rolled on her queen-sized bed only to fall on the carpeted floor. She whimpered a little, but not because she was hurt, but because she could not get Jin-Rae's voice out of her head. The scene before kept playing inside her brain over and over again, making her heart tremble.

She sighed and stared on to one of the pictures she had put upon her nightstand. The picture was taken five years ago, where teenaged girl and boy in matching uniform stood side by side with the boy's hand over the girls' shoulders and her leaning comfortably to him.

Was it this time? She thought.

----

"Have you thought of a better plan rather than the one you are suggesting? Because that bullshit would sink your reputation down the drain." Professor Lee said to a student without even batting an eye.

It was Jin-Rae who corrected the theoretic question that Professor Lee asked.

All of them looked at him in awe while half of the students looked at him with heart eyes, except. for one though.

Rose thought she could have told Professor Lee the answer but she hesitated. The one thing that Jin-Rae has the upper hand from all this year is because he did not hesitate. He was always head-on with his strategies, but never too aggressive. He calculates every decision decisively. The level of thinking he has for the business world is really unreachable.

For once she reminisced about the time when they competed for whoever would get the highest average after class would be treated with cheeseburgers. The thought of food made Rose feel the grease on her fingers.

That was why by the end of the class, Jin-Rae took Rose's handbag and took her palms to his. "Let's go."

"What?" Rose asked in confusion while being dragged by the six foot two inches guy in front of her.

"You owe me a cheeseburger. Right?"

"What? What are you talking about? That was middle school!"

Bella giggled as she waved goodbye to her friend while the other pairs of eyes stared in envy. The jealousy in their eyes as they witnessed how Jin-Rae took her bag and her hand and enveloped them in his palm.
