Two decades ago…
“Mom, are we going over to brother John’s today?” I asked – excited since I promised to come over to play.
However, my mother only smiled weakly – she didn’t answer me. I looked at her for a while, quite confused. After a while, I shrugged – she must’ve permitted it.
I smiled as I started eating the blueberry pancakes she made, my mother is the best cook in the world. Nobody can compare to my mother, she’s the best.
My mother has been acting a little weird lately though, she seems to have become more lethargic. But sometimes, I think she just misses my dad.
So I shrugged it off, I wanted to prepare a few of my toys to show to brother John.
Brother John strangely doesn’t have toys, all he has are books and sitting under his lonely huge mansion’s tree. I think brother John is lonely, he just doesn’t show it – he chooses to smile and play with me even when he doesn’t understand me sometimes.
