My Husband Cheated On Me So I'm Marrying My Ex

“I’m sure she wasn’t feeling sorry when she’s all up on my husband last night!” When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. But there she was, anger, betrayal, and sadness washed over her all at once as she stared at her husband and the woman who had the same dark brown eyes and dark hair as her. They looked almost identical...? That same night, she stumbled onto the beach and before she knew it, she was sitting across the table from her high school ex, Caleb, looking down at the terms of their marriage contract that he drafted up hastily. Fuelled by anger and betrayal by the people she once loved, Alexandra knew she had to take things into her own hands. Together with Caleb, they plot her revenge. ---------------- “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces. “Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.” “Well, they can’t just -” “Hey, hey listen.” He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.” “How so?” “You’ll find out soon.”

Chapter 72: The Secret Rendezvous

There was one thing Caleb didn't know.

He didn't know the reason why Alexandra had packed up everything and left that night.

It was only a few days ago when she received a text right before she was about to go to sleep. She stared at her phone for a long time, her eyes fixed on that brightly lit screen in the dimly lit room. Beside her, Caleb noticed that she was silent, the lamp next to her casting light onto her shocked expression. Concerned, he leaned over to ask, "Is everything okay?"

They locked eyes and she quickly shoved her phone under the blanket abruptly. She cleared her throat. "It's nothing," she replied suspiciously fast. The corners of her lips curled upwards into a small smile as he raised an eyebrow at her. She leaned over to plant a kiss on his lips, erasing any doubt that lingered at the back of his mind. "Go to sleep, good night babe."

A smile fell on his face. "Good night, my love."
