Chapter 41 - Battle Trial 1

The U.A cafeteria was filled with students from different years and departments. It's surprising how they are able to accommodate the amount of students.

"Oh my god! This is delicious! It's almost as good as mom's!"

Izuku said he devoured the food made by the pro hero; Lunch Rush himself. He was a Disaster Relief Hero. A type of Support Hero that made food for people displaced by natural disasters or powerful Villain Incidents.

The Pro's Quirk let him cook high-quality food with the same speed and efficiency of a team of thirty chefs. UA saved quite a few paychecks by only having a few other Cafeteria Staff needed to keep the place clean.

The people at his table were all his female classmates that sat next to him.

"Yeah it's great but I think even my old hag seems to taste better." Katsumi commented.

"It is even better than the chefs I have back home. Oh over here, Melissa!" Momo waved her hand when she spotted Melissa heading toward them.

"Hello there, are these people your classmates? Hi, I'm Melissa shield. Nice to meet you."

"Greetings, my name is Tenya Iida, it is a pleasure to meet you!"

"I'm Mina Ashido, just call Mina!"

"My name is Ochako Uraraka, it's nice to meet you too, Melissa."

"Hello there I'm Toru Hagakure. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Tsuyu Asui or Tsuyu for short Kero." Melissa smiled before sitting down beside Momo.

"Hey, are you also Midori-kun's girlfriend?" Mina asked, perking the Ochako and Toru interest.

"Uhm..Y-Yes?"

"Wow, so Midori really has four girls, Kero. I thought it's only from the manga." Tsuyu didn't judge them and was only curious how their relationship works.

"So hey, how do guys share him in your free time? Do you guys share the same bed together?? Have guys ever felt jealous toward each other?? Come on, tell us!?" Mina asked.

"Woah there, Mina-chan you being too straightforward." Toru said.

"Ah sorry but don't lie that you're not interested, Toru?" Toru blushed from Mina who smirked at being unable to see her expression.

"It's itsuka. That must be her classmate." Mizuna said seeing her friend being followed by six other female students. A long dark green haired girl, a short haired girl, blond haired with horns, a silver haired girl hiding the side of her face, a brown haired girl that had her eyes blocked by the bangs and a vine haired girl.

"Hey, is that the guy?" The dark haired girl said, suddenly removing her head, scaring everyone as she went closer to her face.

"Hmmmm, he does look great and just my style. Hey, is it true you have harem? Can I join?" Izuku blushed a bit having a girl he doesn't know the name of and got inches from his face.

"Excuse me but extremely inappropriate! Please have some manners!" Iida said chopping the air.

"Hey now, I'm just having fun!" Setsuna said with a smirk.

"Knock it off, Tokage-san." Itsuka said and the girl smirked.

"Hahaha he looks cute when he blush. Hey, I'm Setsuna Tokage, nice to meet you fellow greenie." She said as her head reattached back to her head.

"Hi, are you all Class 1-A? I'm Pony Tsunotori, I sorry for my bad speaking." The blonde girl is having difficulty with her pronunciation in Japanese.

"Ah, are you perhaps, also I'm an American?" Melissa surprises her when she speaks perfect English.

"No way, you're an American too!?" Pony said.

"Yes, I'm Melissa Shield, it's nice to meet you, Ms.Tsunotori." She said.

"Pony is fine. I hope I get to speak better Japanese as you do." Pony was happy that she was able to speak comfortably. Soon after, everyone introduces themselves with Yui speaking rather quietly.

"Hey, I'm curious why Class 1-A wasn't in the orientation, it's kinda spooky." They were confused why she added the last part.

"Well, our sleep deprived homeroom teacher forced us to have a quirk Assessment test." Izuku said.

"How can you speak that way about our Sensei!?" Iida said.

"Yeahz aren't you scared that Aizawa-sensei might hear you?" Ochako asked.

"Doubt he'll do something like that." Izuku said.

"Quirk assessment test? That sounds really nice. What did you do?" Pony asked.

"Well, we mostly did some middle school exercise except we are allowed to use our quirk Kero." Tsuyu said.

"Really? But why do I feel like there's a catch?" Kinoko said.

"Anyone who gets last place will be expelled." Himiko said. Everyone paled upon hearing this.

"Wait, can they do that?" Setsuna asked.

"Apparently they can but fortunately it was just a trick made by Aizawa-sensei." Toru said still relieved that she didn't have to go home after that.

"It seems that your teacher is rather strict to all of you." Ibara said.

"Man, it feels like we're lucky that Vlad-sensei is easy to talk to, if a bit intimidating." Setsuna said.

"By the way, I heard you're the record holder? You must be really strong?" Setsuna is leaning trying to tease Izuku.

"Tokage-san, please behave. You are making Midoriya-san uncomfortable." Ibara said.

"Hey now, Class 1 A is really lucky to have a stud in your class. Here's my number, call me." Setsuna handed a note in his pocket.

"Girl you really are straight forward, I like yah!" Mina gave a cheeky smile, having a kindred spirit.

"How about we change the topic we're having Basic Hero Training later right?" Ochako said changing their subject before she got exposed but Mina could already see it.

"So is All Might going to be our teacher?"

"You mean Uncle might?" Melissa said, causing a brief silence before everyone stared at her blinking.

"Uncle might!!?"

"Hold your name is Melissa Shield? Are you related for the renowned inventor, David Shield and close friend of Allmight?"

"That's my Father. I've recently transferred here along with Izu."

"So that confirms that they were trained by Allmight huh."

"You can say that."

"I really can't wait! We would surely learn a lot from such a top-ranking hero!" Mina cheerfully said.

"Right~" Izuku smiled.

'I hope he learned a lot about teaching from his time with us. It would be stupid if he just made us fight if he doesn't even have any basic knowledge of our abilities. Not to mention most of the students don't even have any basic training, making them fight on the spot is just....sigh, I hope he won't do that. It's called Basic Hero Training for a reason.'

"Woah, is that true? I'm jealous, you guys are being taught by the best!" Setsuna said a bit enviously.

"Don't be, Allmight sucked at teaching." Katsumi plainly confused them, then a bit of explanation surprised them.

"Wait, you were trained by Allmight?" Kinoko exclaimed.

"That sounds really incredible." Reiko said.

"..." Yui nodded.

"Still wish to meet Allmight and ask for an autograph!" Pony said.

"I can asked him, if you like." Melissa said.

"Really? Thank you Ms.Shield!" Pony said.

"Please just call me Melissa." She said with a smile.

"Then just call me Pony then." Izuku smiled seeing that Melissa was making more friends and they continued to chat getting to know more about each other sharing their likes and dislikes along with reasons for choosing to be a hero.

Ochako was a bit embarrassed that her goal was simply money but Izuku disagreed, telling her it's not selfish to help her parents.

"As for me, I always wanted to be a hero ever since I was a child. I want to be a beacon of hope like Allmight that shine in the darkness corners." Izuku said with everyone admiring his goal. Some want fame and status but Izuku is different. His aspiration was to be a true hero.

"Oh yeah I helped change a bit of your costume and added a few upgrades. There are some areas that lacked ingenuity." Melissa suddenly said.

"Oh really now? Then I'm dying to see what upgrade you gave." Izuku's aid.

"Wait, you make support Items?" Toru asked.

"Yeah just come to me then I'll help you do some upgrades along with Izu."

"Ah? You also make a support item, Midori-chan kero?" Tsuyu said.

"Not really but I provide ideas for Melissa, she's too awesome with this type of stuff."

"Hmm, flattery won't get you anywhere." Melissa.

"Hahaha let him cook." Camie said.

She giggled as they continued chatting until lunch was over and the next subject was about to start. Melissa headed back to third year Hero Course after giving Izuku a kiss on the lips that made the girls blush.

Itsuka also gave Izuku a kiss that Setsuna teases her about while they head back to their classroom. Once they got back, he saw the others were there and noticed Maki and Shoko seemed to be occupying themselves rather than sociallizing.

"I AM-" Izuku perked his head up with happy eyes to the door.

"-coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might yelled as he slid open the classroom door and thrust himself in. Everyone was stunned to see All Might there.

"Whoa, it's really All Might!" Exclaimed by Kaminari.

"Wow! I heard it from the others, but I still can't believe he's going to be our teacher!" Remarked by Kirishima.

'This is what the symbol of peace in person is like. He's strong.' Maki thought of inspecting the prowess that Allmight has.

"That's a costume from the Silver Age isn't it?" Tsuyu Asui asked, putting a finger on her chin.

"Its style is so different, it's giving me goosebumps." Mashirao Ojiro said, a blond-haired teen with a large tail with a furry tip. All Might proudly marched to the front of the room and turned to the students.

"I am your teacher for Basic Hero Training! It is a subject where you train and learn different aspects of heroics in order to learn the basics of becoming a hero! I ask you to take this subject as your life depends on it, which it probably does, it's why you all came here to this school after all!" All Might crouched down and flexed his muscles.

"Let's get right into it! This is what we'll be doing today....."

He then stuck his arm up in the air with a card that read 'battle' in hand.

"....combat training!"

A grin appeared on Bakugo's face upon hearing the end of his sentences.

"Combat Training."

Even Izuku couldn't help but feel a little excited about the thought of testing himself against his classmates. Momo, Katsumi and Jiro as well.

"But of course! You can't be a pro hero without your costumes!"

All Might shouted out as he pressed a button on a small remote. Tall drawers on the side of the classroom slowly slid out to reveal many cases in them, each case with its own number.

"These are the costumes you designed based on your quirk and have requested before school started! Everyone gets dressed and gathers in the Gym afterward." All Might finished in another pose.

"Yes, sir!" The class shouted in burning passion. Everyone went to the locker to suit their costume. He decided to make himself looked cool having armor plating appearing like demon king letting out his horns and tail while he wore his scarf.

"Holy hell!? Wow I only added the vibranium for protection. Well I owe her some extra cuddling."

At the third year hero course, Melissa felt her spidey senses tingling made her smile.

"Is there something that matters, Mel-chan?"

"No, I just felt that my boyfriend was talking about me, Nejire." She sat next to her new classmate who was considered to be the big 3 in U.A High, Nejire Hado.

"Right, Can you tell me what about him? Is it from the first year?? How did you meet him?? I'm curious what your quirk is??"

Melissa smiled, unbothered by her bluntness as she was the same before meeting Izuku when it comes to invention.

Standing at the Gym Gamma, AllMight was waiting for the student to arrive. He had already planned out things starting from doing Villain and Hero Scenario to give them an introduction into Hero works.

The second would be focusing on helping them improve their quirks and combat skills via sparring. Though, he only passed the task on to his successor who has more experience in quirk.

"I'm surprised you aren't taking notes."

"Hm!?"

All Might snapped his head to the side and saw his successor already in his hero costume.

"Young Midoriya! How did you change so quickly?" Izuku shrugs.

"Well, nanotechnology is a thing."

"I-I see. And what do you mean by you're surprised I'm not taking any notes! That's rude!" Izuku sighed.

"All Might, as much as I respect you, I totally don't trust you as a teacher. Remember the first time you taught me how to activate my Quirk? If I wasn't smart enough then I would probably blow my arms off."

"That's just an exaggeration! You probably would've broken your bones at most!"

"Yeah, because that's way better." Izuku rolled his eyes at his teacher.

"That's an exaggeration…"

All Might was about to say more when he perked up once he saw shadowy figures coming from the entrance of the Gym.

"Looks like our new heroes have arrived!" He grinned.
