In the 21st century, the society we knew collapsed, and the low birth rate was the problem; to get back on track, scientists and brilliant minds tried to come up with a solution but to no avail.

But amidst the chaos, there is a glimmer of hope. After the collapse, a few in the population started to experience pheromones, and with that came the Rut and the heat cycle. Those in Rut were called Alpha, and those in the heat cycle were called Omega. There were also beta's who did not experience any change. Sometime later, Alpha started to dominate every aspect of society, always on top. With that, the first Alpha and Omega mated, and the hope of population increased as Omegas could reproduce, but there was a catch they could only mate with Alphas.

Public sentiment turned into hate; religious and politically motivated leaders persecuted them. However, they failed because the government intervened with Armys to bring law and order and tried to change back public thinking with scientific backing. Things started to get average Alpha and Omega mated with each other, but hate can never be truly gone.

My name is William. I'm 23 years old and also an omega, the world I live in is hell for me as my parents kicked me out of the house after they got the news of me being an omega.

I was raised by my Aunt, who was also an omega. She helped me navigate the world where Alpha reigns supreme. After being determined to be an Omega, my Aunt adopted me because my parents only wanted their kids to be either Alpha or Beta.

My Aunt's name is Mariam. She worked as a nanny for 4th Generation Haralds. They control half of the oil and gas industries.

My Aunt and I lived happily as we had enough for ourselves, but her being a nanny was a 24/7 job. However, because of this, Harald's family head funded my education through university and gave me a Job; of course, my Aunt was thrilled. On the other hand, I was a little concerned because I was given the post of Secretary to Harald's eldest son Philip Harald the 4th, and yes, the person who had my Aunt as a nanny.

We have five year age gap between us. I've been to Harald's family house but never saw him there. I always thought he was never there.

It's Sunday, and I will join him Monday. I was trained by the Head secretary of Harald's company so that I would support him earnestly.

I woke up relatively early this morning, got ready, and made my way to get some breakfast. I was surprised to see my Aunt up early.

"Why are you up early? I thought you were going to enjoy your retirement?"

"I can't control it. It's my habit; forget about me. Aren't you going to be late? It's 7:00 am."

"No, the office starts at eight also; I woke up early and thought to whip myself breakfast."

"I made eggs, you can toast some bread, and there's coffee."

"BTW, aunty, what type of person is he?"

"Who are you talking about?... Philip?"

"Of course. Who else am I talking about? I'm going to be his secretary."

"First, did you get your pheromone suppressant from the doctor?"

"I did; now tell me about him. I have never seen him."

"He's a nice kid, always set in his ways of doing things. Didn't like to talk much."

"Ok. Thank you, and I love you. I must go. It's time."

I made my way out of our house, and after some time, I reached the Head Quarters of Harald's Oil & Gas Company.

Navigating through the building on the 2nd highest floor was my destination, but I needed to quickly stop at the head secretary's office to grab my files for Philip.

After I got my files, I was on my way and on time. I arrived in front of his office and knocked on the door.

"Come in"

I opened the door, and there he was; Philip focused on his work behind a vast desk. He was much taller than me with his black hair, fair skin, and chiseled jaw. One can see the whole city through his office glass wall.

I made my way in front of his desk. He then spoke with his deep voice:

"Did they give you today's paperwork?"

I hesitated for a minute but swiftly replied:

"The head secretary told me the paperwork for the current project will arrive later. However, she said that previous project paperwork needs to be signed and put forward to be discussed in the meeting to finalize the deal."

"Ok then, call the legal department and say that if Philip doesn't have the paper within an hour. They do not need to come again tomorrow."

I was shocked to hear this because I didn't want to make enemies on my first day as a secretary.

"What is your name?"

I snapped back from my thoughts.

"William, sir."

"Ok, William, that's it for now. You can go and do your work." As he tapped on his watch.

I made my way out and started my work.

PHILIP'S POV

Someone knocked on the door, and it must be my new secretary.

"Come in"

Work has been overwhelming nowadays, and I need a competent secretary to help with the final nearly destroyed paperwork. He came highly recommended by the Head secretary so he must be excellent.

I was too immersed in my thoughts and didn't know he was standing before me. He has beautiful blue eyes, blonde hair, a small nose, a face completely symmetrical with pure white skin, and is about 5'9 feet.

We talked about work, and then he left, but when I stared down, I was aroused, my dick bulging through my pants.

Fuck, I was attracted to him, and why wouldn't I be attracted? He was beautiful, but I had to get rid of the thoughts quickly, or I won't be able to work. I have a meeting with my father this afternoon; he'll undoubtedly bug me to get married.

I didn't give it much thought and got busy with my work. William helped me with some projects I was overseeing. In a meeting with the HR, as he was talking over the points of our previous discussion, I could only see him, how he tucked his hair behind his hair and his pink lips reading, enchanted by his beauty.

After the meeting, I asked William, "If you're free, do you want to grab lunch? My treat for the job well done."

Completely disconcerted by this, he replied, "Sure, why not?"

"Do you want to go somewhere specific?"

"No, we can go wherever you want."

"Sure, then let's go."

We got in my car, and he was playing with his finger. The silence was awkward initially, but I broke it by asking, "How is Mariam these days? Is retirement treating her well?"

"You know how it is with the retirement, and she hasn't figured it out yet."

"She deserves retirement. She worked hard all her life."

"That she did."

William smiled when I talked about Mariam; she was a good person and always cared for me. One can say she was a mother figure to me.

We arrived at the restaurant where I usually ate lunch. The waiter took us to our table.

"Do you want your usual Mr. Philip?"

"Yes, the usual for me."

"And what about you, sir? What are you ordering?" the waiter asked William.

He was reading the menu. I didn't want to disturb him.

"Can you do a duck breast with gravy?"

"Of course; anything else, sir?"

"No, this is fine."

The waiter took off to get our order, and I took it as an opportunity to ask William, "I have never seen you with Mariam."

"Yes, I was mostly busy studying. However, I visited your family home several times but never saw."

I was about to reply when the waiter came with our food.

"We should eat now before the food gets cold."

He nodded, and we started eating. He looked cute while eating.

It's only been 20 minutes since lunch, and my phone started ringing; I tried to avoid it, but it was the office.

I took the call, and what can you say? It was an emergency. William asked me, "What is it, sir?"

"There's a situation in the office, and we had to go. I'm sorry; I'll treat you next time."

"It's ok, sir; you don't have to be sorry; it is my job to be your secretary."

"Ok, then we'll have to go."

In the office problem, I didn't see him again after the whole fiasco.
