When Shin stepped foot over the Firewall that surrounded his house, he felt like a week had passed since he left this place—when, in reality, it was only a few hours. The sun was low over the horizon, but didn't set yet.
Without thinking, Shin stepped to the entrance door and reached for the lock. Obeying his will, the small details inside shifting, unlocking the mechanism. He paused.
Tetsu gasped. 'Boss! Wow, boss, this was amazing! I-I mean, I knew there was something more with that eye thing connection—but to think that you can use my powers, too, now? And it comes to you so naturally!'
Shin carefully touched his new eye. He fed Tetsu a couple of souls to make their wounds heal faster, so it didn't hurt anymore, but it still felt weird. He was very aware of it, like it was a chip in his tooth.
