"Ara-chan!"
The blow knocked the breath out of Jun's lungs and threw her face-first on the ground. The cat ears fell off from the impact, and the asphalt scraped skin off Jun's cheekbone. Her back was full of white-hot pain, which echoed to her right wing.
Behind Jun, Masanori launched another wave of water at the green demon, forcing it into a water prison before it could make another, better-aimed attack.
Three Pupils' whip lunged towards Jun like a viper, and she rolled away on reflex. Her right wing flared with more pain at the movement, and her ribs ached when Jun made a gasping breath, but she could tell that her injury wasn't debilitating.
While her main opponent pulled his whip back for another strike, Jun jumped to her feet, looking at the one who attacked her. When she saw Masanori fighting with Yoshikazu's demon while Yoshikazu himself was choking on the ground, her eyes widened.
