You faild

'Surely I will win this fight. I just need to land a decisive blow on his leg,' Naird thought while sharping his gaze on Jerry. The air around him grew colder, and he felt a heavy weight on his shoulders. He tightened his grip on his sword. As soon as Niard blinked, Jerry disappeared from in front of him.

"Where did that boy go?" Niard wondered, looking around. Suddenly, he felt the sword approaching his neck and quickly he flipped backward. However, Jerry's movements were swift, and he could no longer hear his footsteps.

'Enough playing with you, Niard. I need to verify you first. It would be disastrous if I discovered you were a magic user,'Jerry told himself, then he signaled his men to join the fight. He was sure that no technology had been invented to match his speed, confirming to him that Niard might be using magic, but deep in his hard he could not accept this.

Niard started to feel exhausted. How could he not when seven people attacked him simultaneously?

'I want to win using only my physical abilities. Using magic on Jerry could kill him,' Niard thought, struggling to avoid their attacks. 'All I need to do is knock them out.'

Niard took a deep breath and then bent down to strike the man who was sneaking up from behind, but instead, Niard had received a blow to his stomach, causing him to spit blood.

"Sorry I didn't tell you that the pain would be real," said Jerry, who appeared in front of Niardd, his sword at Naird's neck.

"You did not mention that it would not be man to man fight"

Niard spoke through his teeth with his eyes on Jerry's one, he couldn't believe they actually intended to eliminate him. He bit his lip in regret to not use magic with them.

Jerry took out a small device that wink in many colours and waved slowly in front ot Niard, who didn't understand anything from his action.

"System tracking has been successfully blocked" His system screen showed this message but Niard was too busy to focus on it, the device lighg turned red, and Jerry's smiled in pleasure.

"The fight isn't over yet," Niard shouted, barely wiping the blood from his mouth. He took a kick from the man next to him and couldn't block it. He fell to the ground, creating a pit, with the dust forming a curtain around him.

"Warning: Failure in the mission will subject the player to severe penalties," Niard read the system notification. He gripped the dirt, determined to use his magical skills, he was focusing on Jerry's leg.

Three men advanced towards him at high speed. No one else was left standing; they all fell to his blows. He was using their sword art style but refining it to be more effective. Niard ran towards the dense trees, sensing someone hiding there, ignoring Jerry chasing him like an enraged bull, furious that Niard had defeated all his men.

"I'm sure their number was seven. Who is this person? I can't use the Falcon Eye skill, and that lunatic is chasing me. His speed is overwhelming; I feel like I'm going to die," he whispered, glancing quickly at Jerry, who smiled triumphantly. Niard frowned, feeling like he had overlooked something.

A blow hit his shoulder; the attacker's goal was to stab him in the heart, but Niard moved away slightly, yet he still fell to the ground, bleeding.

"And now, let's prove the rumors about your self-healing ability and see if you're a magic user, Niard Lux," said the girl who wiped her face clean of Niard's blood splatters.

"Didn't I tell you not to interfere in my fight, Misa? Niard is not a magic user, and he is my friend," Jerry declared angrily, the veins on his neck and hands bulging, signaling danger to Misa, who brushed back her hair nonchalantly.

At that moment, Tala emerged from her hiding place. Her sharp eyes glanced at the girl with the blood-stained dagger. She didn't speak to her but ignored Jerry's presence and quickly called for a doctor and guards to assist Niard.

"Stay away from him and do not approach him. Your companion tried to kill him. Didn't you know that Niard is unique specimen and the council showed great interest on him,"

Tala shouted, her hands trembling with tension. Ever since the doctors went in to treat Niard, there had been no news about him. Jerry clenched his fist in regret and looked at the ground.

"Of course, I had suspicions about Niard's nature evolving to this extent, but the magic sensor didn't detect any signal of magic from him. However, what Misa did is unforgivable. I hate working with her," Jerry whispered, then punched the wall hard.

"Where am I?" Niard heard the echo of his own voice. A faint blue light appeared before him.

"Welcome, Niard Lux, to the parallel zone, where we can have a short conversion. I am the system," said the system, while Niad remained shocked for a while. He touched his wound fearfully and found no trace of the injuries.

"The self-healing skill is limited due to your low level, so you will suffer a bit before the wound heals. Stopping your bleeding and treating the severed arteries have consumed all your level points," the system declared as the blue flame moved closer to Niard's face.

"What happened to the mission?" Niard asked anxiously. He had never failed to complete the system's daily tasks or even those mission that appeared suddenly. If that person hadn't interfered, he would have won the mission.

"You failed to complete it," the system's voice echoed three times. Niard swallowed and wiped his forehead. "What is the penalty?" Niard asked quietly, but the system did not respond.

"Since it was a special mission and you failed it, and because you don't have level points to be deducted, the system's basic features will be disabled for seven days. You have already spent three days unconscious," the system said as the flame detached.
