The Second Time Is Different

"Amelie and Jonah, am I to trust them again"

I have to check that lock again.

I rushed downstairs to where Amelie and Jonah were, I have no choice but to ask them for the gems again and I pray they give them to me.

"oh, Anon have you rested already?"Amelie asked

"yes, I have rested well but..."

"what's the problem Anon," she asked.

"is just that...I want to check out...the room again"

"Oh, you could have just said that, we can give you but don't scatter anything"Jonah accepted.

I collected it from them"thank you for allowing me to explore" it is nothing, we are like family now" they said. We are like family, maybe when I find the last rune gem we will know for sure.

I quickly opened up the trap room by putting in the gemstones and saying the word "Lumos", it opened up, and I went down and started exploring the place from the plants to the setting of everything, everything was looking well but I was sure u saw something there, I checked out the tables in which some plants were on both top and bottom but still there was nothing.

"stupid voice, if you are here just tell me something" I presided over.

"the time I need you, you wouldn't come but if you don't want me to eat you will come," I spoke out.

"What kind of creatures are you, I don't know but one thing I do know is you are a pathetic one, from keeping me hungry to making Amelie and Jonah think I am mad" I expressed.

"you are not helping out at all" I proclaimed.

"shoe yours... "for a slight moment there I saw that it glitched similarly and I could see a little difference on the wall for a slight moment. The wooden wall wasn't wooden anymore but this time it was made of granite and the whole atmosphere changed completely, I could swear that the room looked bigger.

I rushed to the wall that changed but it wasn't glitching anymore, I immediately ran up to take hold of the book of looks.

"What is wrong anon" Amelie sounded.

"it's nothing"

"then why are you running? "Jonah inquired.

"Oh, I just want to grab my note and jot down some things I find interesting".

"oh okay"

I ran up and grabbed what I needed and went back down to the trapdoor room, I opened up to read more maybe I missed something very important"

*BOOK*" also note that if all keys are far away from each other, the rooms start acting up and mixing up with each other which can also trap an object in the wrong room or the worst case scenario, when two"

"OUCH!!!" I glanced down to see my leg was pierced by a broken glass.

"How did... Ouch!!" I plucked out the glass from my flesh and in midst of everything, everywhere glitched again, the glass vanished right in front of my eyes.

*BOOK*" or the worst case scenario, when two objects stand at the same point and things mix up again a glitch can happen in which one of the objects gets stuck in the other space and thereby causing the destruction of the other object that stands in the space in the other room"

"Okay that explains it, but who leaves broken glass on the ground"

"Now I am sure Amelie and Jonah are hiding something here because if there weren't, they would have told me, about this... Ouch my leg hurts"

"if they are hiding it, it wouldn't be right to confront them, should just check around, for at they should see this damage done to my leg".

I have to find the rune gem but the question now is how because all I know is that the rune gem is far away from here but how far, according to the book it is far away but it didn't tell me how far away it has to be before it can start glitching.

Maybe I should just stay here and wait till glitch into the other space, no that would be a bad idea, what if I glitch in and don't glitch out then I will be trapped here, I should just check outside or maybe upstairs, the book can mean far in a way that doesn't mean very far.

I hobbled upstairs because of my leg, I peeped first to see if Jonah and Amelie were there so as to not attract attention to myself.

Thankfully, they weren't and then I went up and ran to the bathroom and cleaned up the wound but didn't dress it up so they wouldn't notice, I also went and cleaned up the mess from the blood around the living room and in the trap door room.

I locked up the room and started looking for the rune key, I was scattering everything in sight but I had an excuse to tell Jonah or Amelie I was arranging if any one of them caught me. It was not in the living room and I have begun to arrange it back and when some I moved up to my room, well had to check my room I wasn't the one staying there before.

There was nothing to be found again just like in the living room, I had checked the living room and everything downstairs and the only place left was Amelie's and Jonah's room, a risky move but I had no choice.

"knock knock*

"come in" Amelie spoke.

I opened the door and walked in, this is the first time I was entering their room,

"Is there a problem, anon? "Jonah questioned.

"well the thing is, I have been cleaning up and it just remains your room"

"Oh, you would like to clean our room? "Amelie asked.

"yes, I do, I have cleaned the living room and the rest just remaining your room"

"but we clean the room ourselves, don't worry you can go and rest now, you have done enough"

No this wouldn't be enough to push me away.

"no, I insist"

*knock knock* (someone knocked at the main door)

"I will get it, Jonah, if he insists, let's just let him, there is no harm there" Amelie voiced.

Amelie went down to open the door.

"I have already started working and cleaning everywhere I wouldn't be at rest knowing I didn't clean everywhere"

"Well, if you insist, you can, we are family now, we shouldn't stop you, I will go down too and check who that is, when you are done come and let us know so we can come back in" he accepted.

I was amazed "thank you, now I will make it sparkling clean"

Jonah preceded downstairs and I started what I came here to do, I scattered but didn't destroy, and checked every nook and cranny of the room but yet I couldn't find anything, arranged back and cleaned up the whole room.

I went downstairs and told them I was done and the conversation between I and jonah started

"oh okay, so we can go in now? "

"yes, you can, I made sure everything was clean"

"okay thank you"

I preceded to go to the bathroom but it was locked and there was a cloth hanging on the hanger there.

I went and asked.

"so who came? "

"oh, em....well it was Teresa that came, "Jonah said.

"what does she want"I was furious, she could still come here, she has a lot of nerves.

"her water supply just spoilt and she wanted to bath"

"Okay "

"sorry she is here but we had no choice, she's the one that sold us the place," Amelie said.

"no there is no problem in helping out your landlady"

I went downstairs furiously and wanted to give her a piece of payback by tearing her clothes and as I picked up the cloth the most shocking thing happened.

Right in front of me, what I believe to be the rune gem fell on the ground.
