Maya's POV
I wake up early and go with Mom Esmeralda to pick up some tomatoes, and I am still in wonderment about the beauty I see before me. Even if I grew up in San Antonio, I can't stop feeling blessed to see the beautiful greenery around us. Mom picked up ripe tomatoes for making fresh tomato juice while I harvested the green ones as additional ingredients for our sauce for grilled pork, fish, or for fried dishes to be mixed with onions, garlic, red chilies, and more spices to make the dip more delicious.
As we go back to the main house, I am shocked to find Adonis's 4x4 pickup truck parked in front of the house, and when I looked at my wristwatch, it is still six forty-five o'clock in the morning, my mom nudged me, and she smiled widely at me while I try to contain my excitement.
"Wow! It seems the young Monleon can't wait to see you, Maya." She said as we continue walking, going to the mansion.
