The Remote Utility Activation Device 'Eiden' had been given was imbued with Twist's Utility, Twist.
In order to infuse the Utility into the Remote Device, a scan of the Utility User's Spark, which was located in the brain, was done using a program installed into the device. Used on normal humans, it would be lethal, but on a Utility User, it barely tickled.
It took a few minutes for the Remote Device to get acquainted with the structure of the Utility User's Spark, but once it did, all that was then needed was to expose the device to the Utility it was intended to reproduce a few times. Once it was familiar with the Utility, the device bonded with its user, and all that user had to do was complete the requirements necessary to activate the Utility the Remote Device replicated.
