Seeing Asher so persistent, Felix didn't know what he actually felt. It seemed like Asher did not think he would be a burden. But anything can change in the future so...Felix wasn't suddenly happy or relieved. But, he was feeling quite different now that Asher seemed to give him a very light sense of security.
"I think you know I am angry about this. Duke, you do know you're hurting all of us who worry about you by keeping us away, right?"
Asher asked, his hand again caressing the duke's face.
"Mm..."
Felix nodded, then blankly stared at Asher, feeling complicated. He honestly felt overwhelmed.
"Duke, promise me you don't scare us like that again."
Asher frowned and said in a firm tone.
"...I am sorry. I will be more thoughtful in the future."
Felix, feeling guilty and ashamed, nodded as he mumbled out after some hesitation.
"...Mm...Then rest here. I will bring something to eat."
