Chapter 1: Prologue

Aubrey could tell she's in trouble.

The half naked man who lay in front of her full of sweat was currently writhing in pain. Even in his agony the man looked like a venerable adonis, with an angular face, a chiseled jaw,full lips, a high nose bridge, and a pair of startling deepset amber eyes. And his body was both fit and muscular in an inverted triangle proportion.

Rhyland was half sane with the effects of the Heat

"After you're done ogling can we get with the program?"

Aubrey blushed before nodding. She had been completely taken off guard by Rhyland's sensual appearance that she forgot her original purpose. Based on what she was told, her touch should be enough to subdue the heat.

She gasps as she touches Rhyland's bare chest. She could feel the surge of the blood and heat pulsing underneath.

He's powerful. Her Alpha.

"It's not enough." He growled.

"Th– then what should I do?"

Rhyland smiled dangerously.

"Kiss me."

Aubrey hastily took a step back. But the man quickly grabbed her by both arms and pulled her onto the bed.

"Aubrey Lee Young, kiss me now" Rhyland said through gritted teeth.

"But I.. I don't know how."

"Are you relinquishing the power to me?"

"Yes."

Rhyland lifted himself off the bed taking Aubrey with him. The unique scent which emanated from her body at these times was not enough. He needed something more.

He placed his hands behind Aubrey's neck and pulled her close. In one fell swoop lips were on lips.

Rhyland wanted to taste some more.

"Open your mouth baby girl."

Aubrey attempted to follow suit.

"Like this?"

"Yeah, good girl."

Rhyland lifted Aubrey's chin and slipped his tongue into her open mouth. Soon it was tongue lapping on tongue. The inside of her mouth was unbearably Soft and sweet.

Rhyland's hands began to wander around on Aubrey's body underneath her nightgown, he could feel the scent grow stronger and his heat slowly subsiding.

But the temperature in the room was slowly rising.
