Reaching the Spirit Master realm

"That was a good attack but you lack the timing, kid!" David said while smirking at John.

Watching his attack was deflected easily by David, John was shocked he put his all strength into that single attack. He attacked him many times after that but was successfully counted by David.

'If this keeps up I won't be able to impress Maria, looks like I have to use mana on the next attack.' John thought inwardly. He put mana in his hand and feet and rushed at David, which made his movement and attack power greatly boost.

"Hahaha, interesting! Come at me." David laughed, he prepared for the impact and swing his wooden sword to counter his assault.

"Bang" the two attacks met and a loud gang of scattering air could be heard. John and David both pushed back, David pushed back because he wasn't using his true strength at all.

They both rushed at each other again, the onlookers were shocked by John's fighting power, "bang..bang..bang.." John and David both exchange blows with each other and stop.

"Huh..huhhh." John was panting from exhaustion, he had burned most of his reserved mana in the fighting to impress a girl.

"Hahaha... Kid, I didn't think that you would last for that long, you pass!" David said with a big smile on his face.

'Despite his lack of strength in attacks, he sure has a great potential to rise!' David said inwardly thinking of John's fighting power, which make him impressed by it. To produce two genius, the border town will rise soon that's what he thought.

'I didn't expect this kid to fight that well, I have to report about him to the higher-ups and he has the potential to become a knight for the kingdom.' Miss Ava thought while taking a glimpse of John.

"Congratulations John, you fought very well! Looks like I have to practice my sword skills more often now or you will leave me behind." Nathan said as he hugged him and patted his back.

"That's not right, you are also very good at it," John said with a smile on his face.

"Nathan is right John, you are amazing out there. I almost couldn't believe in my eyes that you're that powerful, John!" Maria said while giggling.

"Thank you." John blushed because Maria had praised him, he act like a virgin who fall in love for the first time.

While Emily was busy guarding Leon in his cultivation state, she didn't even take a peek at the sparring between John and David. She only cared for Leon's safety. But after their fight has ended she takes a glance at them.

'Hmph! When my hubby will fight then you bitches will know your damn place, hmph!!!' Emily coldly sneered at them inwardly, which the three of them does not know of.

"The next participant is Miss Maria, the test in miss Maria's case will be a different one. In this test, we will be using those large boulders as a dummy. These boulders were very hard to break like magic beasts, so it's a perfect dummy for tests like this." Miss Ava explained this to everyone.

Maria after listening to the explanation from Miss Ava, Maria walked toward the position from where she will be cast her magic spells. She stands in the position to cast her spells while aiming her wand at the boulder.

"Flame Lance!!" Maria cast her most powerful single-targeted spell 'Flame Lance', and flames start to appear around the wand. The orange Flame turns into a long lance and shoots towards the boulder.

"Boommmm!" A large explosion happens when the Flame Lance hit the bolder and the dust scattered around the area, which is blocking the view.

After a few minutes passed, the dust started clearing up. The Boulder was visible and there is a huge crater in the middle of the boulder and many cracks are visible to the naked eye.

"Miss Maria, you have passed the test, congratulations!" Miss Ava greeted her, she was again surprised by her very powerful attack power despite her being only a rank 1 mage.

"Looks like our border town is blessed by the gods this year, isn't that right Miss Ava?" David said with a proud expression.

"You're right, Mister David! The border town was really blessed by gods this year to produce three Gods!" Miss Ava nodded her head in agreement.

"Let's continue the tests, shall we?" Miss Ava said.

"Sure, only the couple is left to test, huh!" David said while looking at Leon and Emily.

"I don't know about the young man, he sure is a weird one but the girl is very talented, I am thinking of recommending her to the higher-ups!" Miss Ava said.

"I don't think he is acting weird but every single time I looked at him, I feel like he becomes stronger than before. Miss Ava, if you look carefully you can see the air kept rushing at the Young man as if he was absorbing the air in his body. I won't underestimate this young man in the slightest!" David said with a serious tone of voice.

Miss Ava became speechless by David's remarks about Leon's unusual looks and behaviour.

"Why would you think like this about Leon, Mr David?" Miss Ava asked why he said that about Leon, who looks very harmless to her.

"It's because in the willpower test when I released my aura to suppress him with full power, he didn't even break a sweat. He acted very normally as if he didn't even feel the pressure at all, that's why I said it!" David said with a grin.

" Miss Emily! Please come and take the test." Miss Ava said with a smile.

Emily, who was beside Leon guarding him start walking toward the same position where Maria was standing before casting her spell.

Meanwhile, Leon kept absorbing the qi in the air to his dantian. He was also comprehending the Fists art which he will be using during the test, the ancient energy that is produced from the technique is helping him strengthen his bones and muscles.
