The Blind Prince!

The Ward, Miracle Clinic.

**Sniffle**Sniffle**

"Papa, I'm fine", said Irene feeling awkward. Her father was sobbing in front of her. Ellan was a sobbing mess, currently, he was holding his daughter's hand and kissing it lovingly. All his anxiousness and nervousness vanished after seeing his daughter's face again. He looked at Han gratefully, this wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for him.

Irene was overwhelmed having The Physician looking at her. She pursued her lips shyly. She wanted to tell her papa that if she was ever sick or had a fever she wants to come to this clinic. Unknowingly, Irene was planning her and her papa's bankruptcy in the future.

Gen was sitting in the back watching the father's affection feeling entertained. She snacked on fruits while watching. As she looked around the room, her eyes widened looking at the book corner. She had no idea her master had such a big collection of novels to read. Her eyes sparkled seeing all the newly released novels there and she sat there on a chair opening a novel.

Han decided it was best to leave them alone for now and if they wanted to discuss something Ellan would approach him. "Gen, let's go", he said.

"Yep, wait for a second", said Gen reading her novel. She had her head buried in the book.

Han sighed. "Get up!", He exclaimed. He again pointed towards his bracelet. Gen clicked her tongue and followed him downstairs.

"Put the book back Gen!", yelled Han before going downstairs. "F***", cursed Gen as she dragged her feet back to the corner reluctantly and put the book back in place.

Capital City, Onaphia.

The king of the Western Continent had 5 kids, 1 daughter, and 4 sons. He had 2 concubines and a queen. Although he had an incident with a maid which resulted in having an illegitimate son. The maid was beheaded as soon as the news spread throughout the castle. She didn't even get the chance to see her kid's face not knowing if it was a boy or a girl. He was a picky man which is why he only had 2 concubines though he didn't care for one as her family that supported her had been killed. The other concubine was favored by him.

In the royal vicinity, to the south, an isolated estate exists in which the abandoned concubine and the prince live.

A boy with dark red hair looked out the rusted window seeing all the dead plants and no sign of brightness.

The boy was the son of the unfavored Concubine, Liz Duzan. The Duzan house had vanished overnight and ever since then they were treated roughly.

The prince's name was Serf, he was named personally by the king. Which was a big honor and also placed several targets on his mother.

Sitting by the rusted window, Serf looked outside again and all he could see was darkness. He fidgeted with his hands thinking about what would happen if his mother were to find this out. He shook his head, and he could slightly see again.

The 17-year-old prince was going blind! He wanted to hide this fact as much as he could from his mother. People already treat them roughly after being abandoned by the king but what if they found out that the concubine Liz's son can't see? He didn't even want to think of the repercussions.

Serf had to squint his eyes just to focus on the ground, to see the pathway so he could walk without falling or running into objects. He hated himself for being weak and not helping his mother. Even as an abandoned prince, he had to practice swordsmanship and do his studies but when he couldn't see sometimes it was extremely detrimental to his progress. He hoped that someone could come and fix his eyes.

"Young Master, Serf your mother is calling you", said a maid approaching him. Serf nodded. The maid sneered and immediately left.

Serf clenched his hands frustratingly; he didn't even receive any respect from the maids. 'I bet the damn illegitimate son, Von has it better than me, he's the talented spearman after all', he thought.

He sighed and hurriedly approached his mother. He enters the room and sees his mother packing their clothes. The small room was a mess with all the clothes scattered everywhere.

"Mom, what's happening? Are we going somewhere?", he asked confused at his mother's intentions. If they were going to escape then it was a bad time since the war was ongoing.

Liz sighed exhausted, "We're going to meet your uncle. He invited us over for tea. So, I decided we should go, isn't it better to go outside after so long? I thought you might enjoy this since you have been acting weird these days". She continued packing their clothes. "Be ready in 10 minutes your uncle is sending a carriage to pick us up".

Serf nodded conflicted. The dark red hair boy didn't know how to feel about this since he did want to leave this estate for a while, but he was weary of his mother, he didn't want her to find out yet. Thinking about his uncle, he remembered that he lived in Siron City. Where his friend, Sir. Zale was the Herb Alliance branch's master. Maybe he could help with his condition. He was unable to sit still thinking about his eyes being treated, he helped his mother energetically.

"What's gotten into you?", Liz chuckled watching her son act silly. In her heart, whenever she looked at her grown son, she felt like an incompetent mother.
