Raina's POV.

Chapter 110-

Raina's POV.

I suddenly felt like crying after seeing the cake they brought for me, it felt like apart from Bas, Lyn, Gabriel and Matteo, and my fans I had others who believed in me, and not what they heard online, it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders, I didn't even want to bother and check the trends, because I knew it'll hurt me more than I imagined.

"Let's start, I need to go to a meeting." I said and they nodded.

The meeting was a little brief, I wanted to round up everything, go for the next meeting, I smiled when they left and started on the work we had, we needed to hand out art pieces at the central museum today, and we didn't finish.

I left my department, and went to the finance department, I could hear whispers, but I just closed my eyes and told myself to pay no attention to them.

I left there after balancing the account, I paused when I walked out, it felt like everyone from other department, were waiting for me, some stared at me, some spat on the floor, I smiled widely, and passed, I would never drop down, or be weak to their face, they wouldn't get that satisfaction.

I decided to take the corridor in the office, I dailed my assistant's number.

"Please, y'all should move to the parking lot, I'll be there soon." I said.

"Yes ma'am,.are we taking everything with us?" She asked.

"Yes, please prepare so we can deliver, I have to close early today." I said and ended the call.

I paused when I felt someone close to me, I felt like shaking because I wondered how a reporter made it's way to the corridors, they were only allowed outside the building.

I heaved a little, when it felt like I knew this person, it was odly comforting for the person to come closer, and he was still walking.

"Are you okay?" I relaxed completely when I heard the voice, it was Bas, now I understood why even though I was scared at first, I felt comforted when I heard his footsteps and breathing.

"I'm sure I'll be." I said sniffling, I didn't want to break down while he was around, didn't want him to see me like this.

"I came running looking for you, went to your department and you left." He said heaving a little.

"I even forgot I was a vampire, and also I didn't want someone seeing me, I should have teleported." He said and I smiled a little, I felt the tears trickling down my eyes, I wanted to cry, but I decided to hold it in, I sniffled again.

He stared at me sadly, then brought me and enveloped me into a hug, "you can cry out, if you want to, it's all my fault they are treating you this way." He said and I shook my head.

"No it isn't." I said and the tears started rolling down, "I made the decision too." I said and sniffled again.

"It's okay, and don't worry, you can cry out if you want, no one would follow us here, I used your scent to know you were here, I wouldn't have followed otherwise." He said and I nodded.

He gave me what I needed the most right now and that was comfort, it's was just like what he usually did, he comforted me or knew just what I needed without me even saying much, I smiled as I hugged him, and he pressed me closer hugging me, I laughed immediately be inhaled my scent.

"Sorry can't help it, you smell so good." He said and I smiled, just like that, he managed to ride the frown and worries I had, he did it effortlessly, like he did not have to do too much, but it was working, it worked like magic, it felt like a spell, but there was no spell here, it was real.

I titptoed and placed a kiss on his lips, he raised his brows at me smirking, I laughed, "thank you." I said.

"For what?" He asked.

"For everything, you've done." I said and he winked.

"I have to go with my team to give art pieces to the museum, they have a show there and they collaborated with us." I said and he nodded.

"I'll drop you off." He offered but I shook my head, I knew he was trying to be helpful, but if he did drop me off and people saw us together, though there nothing wrong with that, but it would intensify matters that had not died down yet.

"On a second thought, it'll be bad if I drop you off." He said rubbing his temples, and I nodded.

"Good luck." He said strolling off.

"You too." I said with a smile, I knew I wgoing to be disturbed, but he made me smile and I was happy right now, that was all that mattered.

I spotted my team members, and went to them, they stood around, I could see some reporters linger at the car park, I smiled at my team members and they got inside the bus we took when we were going out.

"Have you packed all the supplies?" I asked, I was a little nervous, I knew the supported me, but that didn't shake off the little nervousness I had right now, I felt like it intensified it.

"Yes, we did, they are all in the bus boot."  Jackson replied and I nodded.

In about thirty minutes, we reached the museum, I don't know if the crowd I saw there was because of me or because of the show the museum had, but I hoped it was just because of the show, not everyone knew my schedule, and I was sure the reporters wouldn't find me here, but I wondered how the people attending the show at the museum would act, because my news was everywhere, and it also went out of Pineville.

"Let's go, ma'am." Leticia said and I nodded.

We went into the museum, I picked about three supplies, the guys in my team picked it up, the girls too, we got all the piece and went inside.

It looked like the show already started, I could see the crowd there, the place looked parked, the worker here signaled to us and we all went with him.

He took us backstage, and we all dropped the supply on the art carrier, each of them were placed.

"Should we cover it?" I asked the worker but he stared at me for a while, I knew it was because of what was going around, "I asked a question." I said and he shook his head.

"We'll just take it up there, we don't have to cover them, we don't really auction them, we just pick it for a good price that is offered, it depends on the meaning." He said and I nodded.

"Can I get an A4 paper, so I could write the meaning down, and just add it to the canvases." I said and he nodded bringing out A4 papers, my team stared at me, they didn't understand how I wanted to use plain A4 papers to the art work we finished.

I smiled at them, folding each A4 papers, I divided them into four parts, it was big enough, I made different shapes with it, a star, a love shape, a round shape, a rectangle, an hexagon, a pentagon, etc. I mad lots of shapes using my scissors, I brought out the water colour pencils I had in my pocket for emergency, I always carried it when I needed to improvise, I wasn't going to pin the meaning on the art pieces, it would be close to the art pieces, but it would be presented in a beautiful way, at least something that could grab people's attention.

I pushed the art carrier all up, for all the pieces we carried, they were fifteen in number, the museum said they didn't need much, as they wanted to sell other things.

I made space that could fit the shapes I created, I painted long A4 papers and brought out a gum, pasting them down, close to the art pieces the art carrier held.

I wrote the meaning of them all, and finished pasting them, I heaved a sigh of relief as I checked them, and realised it got attention, the way I wanted, and people would see the meaning soon, I smiled as I realised I painted each shape according to the art pieces and also the water colours I used matched them.

"I've finished." I said and the worker in the museum, who held up a phone kept blinking at me, I wonder why he was with a phone, "you're as talented as they say.", He said and left calling people in to put the art on stage, I stood with my team members back stage who kept staring at me in awe, I didn't really like calling them my workers, they were like team members to me, since they all worked with me, though it was for me.

"You're so talented." Jackson said, "I'm falling in love over agai.", He said and I laughed.

"Forget it, you can't have her." Leticia said with a laugh.

"Why can't I?" Jackson backed dramatically.

"You can't compete with the CEO Jackson, he's above your league." Tracy said and they all laughed.

I laughed too, the little tenseness I had, went away.
