As Ryan walked down the hallway, he collided with Davis, who asked him if he was alright. Davis could notice that he looked angry and sad. He tapped Davis on the back gently. "I'm fine," he said, "just slightly riled up."
"Your Grace," Davis said. "There's an important letter that needs your immediate attention and Her Grace instructed me to bring you from the study."
Ryan was taken aback, but a smile returned to his lips. He took the letter and read it shoving it in his pocket. "Lead the way," he told Davis.
They came to the ballroom, and Ryan saw Suzy waiting for him. It was the first time he had seen her since he had come to the ball. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked.
