The last part of Skipper's sentence was so low that it blended into the shadows and was swiftly hurled away by the swishing wind.
Tirhanna stopped and peered over her shoulders. Skipper halted in her tracks too, making sure to maintain a formidable distance between her and the little girl.
"What did you say?"
"Why'd you always do that thing with the dramatic pauses? Yeeesh, you're not that scary and you know exactly what I said so stop asking me. It's annoying."
Skipper replied jauntily with furrowed eyebrows. She had completed everything she needed to use the pindite for so she didn't understand how Tirhanna was able to pull her into this dream world again.
"Whoa...! Look who finally grew balls. I missed this feisty side of you although, I have to admit that watching you cower in fear is just as fun and most certainly refreshing."
