Chapter 225
Li Zi Yun was waiting eagerly for Wang Yu to return home. She still had not planned how to tell him the good news. The doctor had advised her to take complete rest and not indulge in any hard work. Li Zi Yun had left in a hurry and she knew for sure that Wang Yu would take her to the hospital as soon as he hears the news. She had so many doubt that she wanted to clear up but she thought of waiting until she tells Wang Yu. Li Zi Yun could feel that she had gained some weight. Looking at the mirror, she rubbed her belly, which was still flat.
Li Zi Yun was waiting for a long time but Wang Yu had not returned home, she was getting nervous now. She gave him a call.
Li Zi Yun hid the disappointment in her voice and spoke calmly, "Why haven't you come home yet?"
When Wang Yu spoke, Li Zi Yun could sense how tired Wang Yu was, "I will leave in a couple of hours… Did you have dinner?"
Li Zi Yun sighed, "Hmmm… "
Wang Yu yawned as he spoke, "Are you feeling better today? Did you rest well?"
Li Zi Yun sighed once again and said, "Spend the night in the company. It's already late"
Wang Yu was completely awake now, "No I will try to come soon. I can't sleep without seeing your face"
Li Zi Yun shook her head, "I don't want you to drive when you're this tired. I'm fine staying by myself here."
It was Wang Yu's turn to sigh now as he said, "Don't tire yourself. Sleep soon"
Li Zi Yun started to say what she had been holding back the entire day, "I…"
"What is it?"
"Nothing… Come home early tomorrow"
"I will make it up to you tomorrow. Love you"
"Love you more"
Li Zi Yun would not say that she was not disappointed. She sighed as she looked at the sonogram in her hand and rubbed her belly.
Li Zi Yun whispered underneath her breath, "It looks like I can't tell him today"
The next morning Li Zi Yun received a message from her mother in law's assistant. A party had been planned for Wang Yiran and the Wang family wanted Wang Yu and Li Zi Yun to be present in the party.
Li Zi Yun sighed, "Oh God! Why do I have to see her face on a happy day?"
Earlier before Wang Yiran's accident, the Wang family had thought of about getting Wang Yiran engaged to Chu Yan. The Chu family had been in politics for a very long time and they were friends with the Wang family. Everyone in the Wang family had a good opinion about Chu Yan and were keen on getting Wang Yiran engaged to Chu Yan. However, the accident took place and the incident was forgotten entirely. Now Wang Yiran was awake and they wanted to find a good guy for her no matter what. So they had planned a party for Wang Yiran as quickly as possible. The Wang family was still keen on Chu Yan but had not spoken to the Chu family about this yet. They thought of using this party to discuss about the possibility.
Li Zi Yun thought for a few minutes before she called Wang Yu, "Did Mother tell you about the party?"
Wang Yu was confused. No one had informed him about any party. Why would his mother hold a party suddenly?
Wang Yu asked Li Zi Yun, "What party?"
"A party for your sister"
Li Zi Yun clicked her tongue at the word 'sister'.
This was news to Wang Yu, "They are hosting a party for Yiran?"
Now Li Zi Yun started to doubt if there was really a party today, "Mother did not tell you?"
"Wait a minute let me check it"
Wang Yu inquired quickly to Assistant Liu Guang and he replied in positive that Mrs. Wang had informed about the party a few minutes back.
Wang Yu said to Li Zi Yun, "We don't have to go. I will tell mother"
Li Zi Yun stopped Wang Yu, "No let's go. I don't want to miss it"
Wang Yu asked in doubt, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah… it's just a party"
"Be ready. I will come to pick you up"
Li Zi Yun wanted to tell the Wang family directly that she was pregnant. She still found it hard to wrap her head around the fact that she was pregnant. Li Zi Yun had gotten married suddenly and she had not given much thought about pregnancy and becoming a mother. Now she was pregnant and everything was happening very quickly in her life now.
Li Zi Yun was waiting for Wang Yu but had not come.
Wang Yu sent a message to Li Zi Yun, "You leave first. I will meet you at the family Residence. I will be leaving in ten minutes"
Li Zi Yun sighed, "See you soon" as she stuffed the sonogram in her clutch.
