A rather strange offer, but one that managed to occupy Fried's mind incessantly. Hours had passed since his meeting with Kristi, yet Fried still toyed with the business card in his hand. He glanced at it several times, as if something was bothering him.
"Excuse me, Sir—" The man's words were cut short when Fried raised his hand.
"No need to speak in English, I've been in Indonesia long enough, and the language feels like my daily bread now," Fried replied with a smile.
"Oh, I see. I was getting nervous, afraid of mispronouncing something," the man said, patting his chest a few times in relief.
"Haha, it's fine. What can I help you with?"
"Here, Sir. These are some documents regarding the new project in Surabaya. Not only that, but they also require your signature for approval."
Fried took the documents offered to him.
"Give me a few minutes to review these papers."
"Certainly, Sir. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."
