Chapter One hundred and Two

George POV

Aunty Rose called me to inform me about what Evans told Sarah and I must confess am afraid of what Anna is capable of doing cause there is no doubt that lady is dangerous. Luckily Aunty Rose gave me a good idea on how to tackle this particular issue,I told Aunty Rose about Claire situation cause she is the one in the best position to tell me what to do.

Aunty I wanted to call you before you callled I told her. What is it that you want to talk to me about Aunty Rose asked me. It's about Claire Davidson I answered. Huh! What about Claire? Aunty Rose asked. I told her how Claire's father visited my mother and the threat he made. I can't believe that man have the nerve to make such threat but George are you sure you don't want to have anything to do with Claire? Aunty Rose asked. Yes Aunty am sure I don't want anything to do with her, she is not my ideal woman and I want to marry because of love not because of business gain I answered.

Okay if you say so and if am correct Mr Davidson intend to side with the opposing side if you fail to dance to his tune? She asked. That's what I suspected his threat is all about I answered. If that is the case I will advice that you calm down and leave it to me to make some investigation cause I overhead someone from the opposing side that want to sell his shares but am not sure yet,she said. Why don't you investigate first and get back to me later but everything has to be fast cause the moment Mr Davidson side with them I don't think they will want to sell their shares I told her.

Don't worry George you know you can always count on me and I won't let you down cause I want you to be happy, she commented. I thanked her cause I know she will always find a way out of any problem that's why she is our family most trusted friend. By the way George don't you think is time for you to introduce the girl you are in love with to me? Aunty Rose asked. Aunty am not in love with anyone I tried to lie as usual but not this time cause Aunty Rose is one step ahead of me as usual. Don't tell me that George but the only thing I know I will not push you to introduce her to me,I will allow you to be ready on your own,She said.

Thank you for understanding Aunty, I thanked her cause if not for anything else but for the fact she give you space and respect your decision even though she already know what is going on. I cut the call after we don't have anything else to say to each other. I called Max and informed him about the idea Aunty Rose brought up and he seemed to be okay with it. I prepare dinner after having dinner, I prepare for bed. I wake up in the morning and get ready for work.

I arrived at my company and headed straight to my office, Rose is not in her office so I guess she is out investigating about what we discussed. I have been thinking since yesterday night if there is a possibility that someone from the opposing side want to sell his shares in whose name am I going to buy the share. I know they will be suspicious if my mother or me or Rose is the buyer. I think when Aunty Rose arrive I will ask her this,if only what she went for turned out to be positive.

Sarah POV

I wake up this morning with this severe headache and my temperature is very high. I already know there is no way am going to work in this condition so I called Rose office but she is not picking her call. I don't have any other choice but to call my boss,I called him he picked on the second ring. I informed him of my condition and the fact that I won't be able to come to work today,he assured me that he understand and I should take my time and get well. I thanked him for his understanding.

I managed to stand up and walked to the bathroom to take a shower first before going downstairs to check what is available for me to eat and take drugs. When I finished with the shower I went downstairs but to my surprise my mother is still around. Mum what are you still doing here? I thought you should be at your shop by now? I asked her. My mother approached me without saying anything to me or answer my question, she placed her hand on my forehead checking my temperature.

Am wondering how she knew that am sick,Mum how do you know that am sick? I asked her the question going on in my mind. I checked on you in the morning and I saw you sweating that's when I checked your temperature and it is high,so I used wet cloth to wipe your sweat and wait for you to wake up my mother finally answered. So what's wrong with you? She asked. Mmm am having this headache like my head is about to explode at any moment I answered her. I think you should go back upstairs I will bring food and drugs for you there,you really need to rest I guess you are stressed My mother told me. I agreed to her suggestion and went back to my room.

My mother did as she suggested, I ate the food and took the drugs. I laid down on the bed about to doze off when I heard someone knocking on my door. That got me confused cause my mother and my best friend will never knock on my door and my brother is not around, so who could it be,I wondered. I invited the person inside cause I know that I know that my mother have made sure that whoever the person is,that the person is not dangerous. My door creaked indicating that the person is coming in,I sat up on my bed to see who my visitor is but who I saw got me frozen .

My boss is inside my room holding a paper bag. Am so surprised to see him here,I looked around immediately to make sure that everything in my room is in order cause I don't want to be at disadvantage in this situation and luckily my best friend have not visited this week if not my room would have look like a dumping ground. I tried so hard to compose my self cause I don't know how to act right now. Hi boss I greeted,call me George we are not at work now he said. My jaw is literally on the ground right now at what he said.

Huh? That's what I could only utter,what's with him today? First he is here in my room holding a paper bag, the next thing he is asking me to call him by his name. So he actually like me I mused. Am sorry for coming unannounced he apologized. There is no need for you to apologize to me,you are always welcome here anytime, I assured him. He heaved a sigh of relief when he heard what I said. How did you know your way to my room? I asked him even though I already know that my mother is the one that directed him.

Your mother showed me he answered, I got this for you he said handing the paper bag to me. I wondered what's inside, so I opened it and inside it is a bowl of soup. Am already jumping inside me,he is so sweet. You got soup for me I asked him,Yes I thought that you will be all alone at home and there will be nobody to take care of you that's why I come over He explained. I don't know what came over me but I hugged him when he finished with his explanation I guess the emotions that am feeling inside me is so overwhelming.

He was surprised when I hugged him and when I noticed his hesitance I withdrew myself but to my surprise he drag me back and hugged me tightly. Am smiling like a fool right now and if this is what getting sick is all about I don't mind been sick. We disengage from hugging each other, I couldn't look him in the eyes cause I don't want him to see how red my face is now. My mother barged into my room as usual looking at us suspiciously, I silently thank God that we had already disentangled ourselves before she barged in if not I have a lot of questions to answer the moment my boss will leave.
