William, Ember and The Church!

[Authors note- Important notice: Hello, my dear readers your dear Lazy Author-san is here. Well, I am here to tell you about an Important change. Well as you know I have described earlier in my novel synopsis and 8th chapter that in future Mc will be known as The God of Blood and Conquest in the future but after thinking of something, I changed it. In the future, he is going to be known as the Demon God of Blood and Conquest instead of only a God. I have already changed my novel Synopsis and 8th chapter so new readers will not face any problems, but I have written this notice for those old Readers who have already done reading up til this chapter, so that they will not be confused in the Future. Tnx for reading this far and supporting a lazy person like me. Please comment more in the future, so we can enjoy it more and learn from each other. Tnx a lot again. (^○^) ]

William smiled and spoke in a chilly tone; "I am going give a tip to Church, that I believe Crimson Witch has given birth to Demon Prince". Boom!

Roan was shocked after hearing William's plan, "But your majesty are you sure about it, that Ember has given birth to Demon prince?

William chuckled and said, "Does it matter if she has really given birth to a Demon prince or not? It doesn't matter if it's true or not. I am just blindingly playing a big gamble and without nothing at stake. Maybe a miracle happens or maybe not, and Roan what do you think a miracle is"?

"A miracle is a wonderful event that make impossible things possible but only Gods can create it, that is something beyond our imagination and widest dreams, your majesty". Said Roan

William smiled and said, "If you think only Gods can create miracles, then your thinking is wrong Roan. A miracle is nothing more than a lucky event that happens when you did not expect or think was possible.

A miracle is nothing more than a mere possibility among countless Chances. Most people wait their whole lives for a miracle to happen, which can change their lives and die in vain, but only a few people take great gambles and put their lives on line and create Miracles with their own efforts. Crimson Witch rise is also a sort of miracle, which she created with her efforts and I am also doing the same and taking a Gamble which may create a Miracle and turn out to be fruitful".

"I understand Your Majesty, but what happens if her son turns out to be Divine Son"? Said Roan with concern in his voice.

The whole room suddenly turned silent for a few seconds and after that, William started laughing out loudly, "Hahahahhahaha, even if that happens then that's also a good thing, at least we will be informed beforehand before taking any action against Divine son, which can also cause a huge disaster for us and we will also forget all enmity with Crimson Witch and forget about taking any revenge.

Roan you know it's written in some ancient books that, even if a Divine Son stands before you without any power and you try to kill him even then he will not die. There are chances someone suddenly came to protect him or the attacker suddenly faced a huge disaster like a meteor, suddenly hit the attacker out of nowhere. This type of great luck a Divine Son possesses. Only Demon Prince can counter his luck and kill him.

If her son really turned out to be a Divine son, then the church would take him away from our continent, to the main headquarters of the Church of God of War on another Continent. They will also take his parents with the child, means Austin and Ember have to go with them and if they don't want to go, then the church will also use force. So if her son turned out to be Demon Prince, then the church would take care of it and if her son turned out to be Divine son, even then the church would take care of it but if her son turned out to be just a normal person, then we will take care of it".

"I understand your majesty". said Roan.

"Go, Roan carry out what I have told you. As much as I know about that Bishop, he will not let this chance slip from his hands and he will do everything in his power to check on her child and from Crimson Witch personality there are chances, she will not even let church touch his son and let them verify there concerns and a fight may break out without any reason which is also good.

Even If she lets them check and her son really turns out to be, a Demon prince then a war will happen between Crimson Witch and the church and if her son turns out to be Divine son then she will not agree to go with the church because she hates them too much and they will definitely fight and it will also be funny to watch the face of that Bishop bastard, if Ember son really turns out to be Divine Son". Said William with a smile on his face.

"As always, your words are full of wisdom Your Majesty, I will inform the church and carry out your plan". Said Roan with a deep voice while his eyes focused on William, which was showing great devotion toward him. After saying that he went away from the hall.

After Roan went away, William slowly touched half side out his face which was covered with a white mask. He suddenly starts remembering his first and most disastrous meeting with Crimson Witch.

[William's POV]

On a battlefield, which is full of dead bodies, William was sitting on the ground, while his knees were bent and he was trying to gasp air and half part of his face was burnt and while revealing some bones under his skin, on his lap was a dead body of a Young Man, while holding his body William with bloodthirsty eyes seeing in the air.

In the air a Woman was flying, on her back were wings made of fire. She was wearing, a crimson-colored crown on her head. She was wearing a silver colored Armour, but most of part of this Silver Armour was dyed in red color because of blood. She was Ember, who was soon going to be known as Crimson Witch after this battle.

"It's all over William, the trouble you caused and the battle you started will end with you now and here." Said Ember, and she was going to give a finishing blow to William.

William doesn't say anything, he just continues watching her with blood in his eyes. As Ember charged her fists with mana, while circulating fire around it to kill William, she suddenly heard a voice.

"Stop, I order you in the name of the holy church of God Of War and Victory". A middle-aged person came into view, with few other people who were Priest's of the Church and He was Bishop of a branch church of God Of War which is situated on the Azura continent. He was wearing a black and red cassock, with a hat on his head, and had a stick in his hands.

"Why, should I stop, and why are the people of church interfering in the matters of our Empire Wars. You have no right to interfere in our Empire's battles or politics". Said Ember with a frown on her face and anger in her voice.

"We have full right to interfere in this battle. The one to whom you are going to kill, he is One of our holy church's 'Honored One'. If you kill him, then you have to face the wrath of our Church's holy order". Said Bishop while checking the condition of William.

Well, so question is who is honored one and what it signify. Well, a Long time ago, Many Churches of different God Kings started, stretching their influence on different Empire's Royal families. They started making, Emperor to those people who were Loyal to the Church from that Royal family, and these people were also called Puppet kings. Other people of Royal families weren't happy with this, and all over the world, they started a revolt against different churches. Demons also joined in the fray and helped them to overthrow the Church's hegemony. 

God kings were afraid, if this continued then they would not get any worshipers and divine energy, so they ordered their respective churches by giving them oracles to mend their relationship with Royal families. Royal Families of different Empires also didn't want further Wars, they just wanted their birth rights and they also didn't believe in demons even after their help, so they stopped wars and came to an agreement with Churches.

Churches promised that they would not interfere in the politics of Empires, but Emperors of different Empire also could not stop different Churches from preaching in their Empires .If an Emperor of any Empire wants to accept the sovereignty of any Church willingly then, nobody will stop them. After this peace was established in the World and in any Empire missionaries of different churches can be seen at the same time.

But many churches don't want to share worshipers with other Churches in an Empire. So they started a new plan and started bribing weak Empires and influencing them to accept Church sovereignty willingly. The Empire which accepts the Sovereign of any particular church, is declared as a subordinate Empire of that said Church, and people of that Empire will only follow a single Religion and believe in only one God King and other churches will not interfere in that Empire's faith. 

The Emperor of that Empire is rewarded with the title of 'Honored One' and given the same level influence of as a Bishop in their respective Church. When some Empires and their Emperors willingly submitted to Churches, then other Empires started seeing it as another threat so, after a discussion they passed a new decree that if any, Empire accepted the sovereignty of any particular church then that Empire, would be boycotted by other Empires in the surrounding and no trade will be done with that Empire and others Empires with not help that Empire in any need. After this rule, many Empires stopped even thinking about becoming a part of any particular Church and even nowadays it rarely happens when someone accepts their sovereignty.

Ember frowned after knowing that William became 'Honored One' and accepted church's sovereignty, "How low you have fallen, William Phantom that you even became Church's Dog".

"Stop, with your hypocritical bulshit Ember. What is the use of pride when you can't even protect your people? If you had seen people of your Empire dying of hunger and diseases then you have done what I have done. If you had belong to my Empire, then you would have been fighting by my side for the welfare of our people. It's not about right or wrong, good and evil. It's all about survival. A hero and protector of an Empire, is nothing more than a villain and slaughterer of another Empire. I will do anything for my people's survival even if I have to lick someone's feet. Even if I will be declared Evil and demonic being". Said William with anger and bloodthirsty eyes.

"You are just weak William. You are known as a Great strategist, but today I have shown you that in front of True strength are strategies, planning and traps are meaningless. Hope you will remember this lesson". Said Ember with arrogance in her tone.

"I will definitely remember this and one day pay you back this pain and humiliation". Muttered William in a low voice.

"And you church bastards, if he has become 'Honored one' of your church, then why you have not notified other Empires and done Coronation in your Church style, and why a member of your Church has attacked another Empire without any reason". Asked Ember with a cold gleam in her eyes.

It is a general trend that after an Emperor accepted any Church's sovereignty, then other Empires and Churches also informed about it, to tell them that this Empire is now under their protection and so attacking this Empire is regarded as a sign of attacking their Church. At the same time, if the subordinate Empire of that said Church, attack another Empire it is regarded as the sign of that Church attacking their Empire. So without any good or justify reason, any Church can't give their subordinate Empire an order to attack another Empire and if they did it without any explanation then, it a considered a breach of trust and other Empires also will see it sign of War and other churches will start defaming that church, to increase their own followers. So it can turn very serious issue that can cause unnecessary problems, so most churches refrain their subordinate Empire from attacking other Empire without their permission.

The priests of the church became angry at her tone and way of speaking, they were ready to shout at her but they became quiet on Bishop's order, he was also angry, but he did not let it show on his face; "Well, William have became the part of our church recently, after he started war with your Empire and so we have nothing to do with it. We thought after this war ended, we would do his Coronation and his win or loss didn't matter to the church, but his life has great importance to the church, so please refrain yourself from killing him, and our church will compensate your people for your losses".

"You will compensate us for our losses, shut the fuck up. Can you bring back our dead soldiers, can you bring back dead sons of mothers, can you bring back dead husbands of Women, can you bring back dead fathers of children? We don't need your pity, we don't need your help, go away from our Empire. Keep your dogs on leash from now, if they try to bite my people, I will not only kill dogs, I will kill their owners also". After saying that she flies away from the battlefield and the war is over with the Griffin Empire's victory and the name of Ember as Crimson Witch rise to fame.

Priests and Bishops were watching quietly while grinding their teeth. William also saw her going with a cold gleam in his eyes, nobody knew what he was thinking and drops of tears started falling from his eyes and he slowly started caressing the hair with great affection of the dead young man who was lying on his lap, this young man was his only son, who was killed by Crimson Witch.

Back to present

William's eyes become moist while remembering the past. The white mask he was wearing was a gift that his son gifted him, saying that he looked cool with it. William can treat the burned half of his face with the magic of Supreme rank Healer at Peak tier, but he refuses to do so because he wants to keep it as a sign to remember his failure and great loss. 

"Well, you used my helplessness and forced me to accept the sovereignty of your church, to protect my Empire's people from the previous demonic Emperor, and again you forced me to start a battle with Griffin Empire, which turned my life more sorrowful and now I am going to use you to solve my grievance, let's see what entertainment you will bring me you bastard Bishop, Joseph Gram". Muttered William in a slow voice.

While everything is going on, Reaper is also fighting a great battle, Well a battle to not drink milk (:T^T:).
