Chapter 268: Fear
Derik, Lucien, Kaido, and Demos went through the door at the other end of the room. The black door revealed steps leading to a higher platform! To conserve their energy, they decided to walk up the stairs while trying to adjust whatever power they have lost. Their state of mind had to be dealt with as well and at this point, Derik and the others fully understood that they are going against a demigod here.
Injured or not, this person is still a demigod.
Apart from Derik who has a celestial soul now and cannot be killed, Lucien and the rest can still be killed so they had to prepare their minds for this battle that could be their last.
"What do you guys feel right now?" Lucien suddenly asked as they walked up what seemed like an endless staircase.
"What?" Demos was the first to reply but he too shared the same confused expression on the face of Derik and Kaido.
