Chapter 221: Understanding
The massive Ooni demon gazed at the werewolf with uncertainty in its glowing red eyes. The absolute confidence oozing out of Derik is something he is used to having while others remain restless but right now he was the one experiencing it and he didn't find it pleasant!
He felt like Derik was toying with his mind by not even attacking and even though his grip on the bloodied mace was hard, he still couldn't find the strength to lift his weapon against Derik! Something was telling him that if he attacked now, he will lose!
What was even more shocking was that his senses were screaming out in fear! Every part of this body was terrified of Derik and reluctant to make a move, leading him to believe that Derik was using somewhat of mind torture technique to subdue him but in reality, Derik wasn't doing anything.
