Chapter 64: Reminiscing and Scolding

Shizuku in a reminiscing tone spoke, "It happened about 2 and a half years ago, on the first day of high school. I was having a sparring match against Kouki."

Shea Hearing that name asked, "You mean that creepy guy, who suddenly asked us to join him out of nowhere."

Shizuku sighed and nodded, "Yeah, it's him."

Tohru hearing that guy's name snorted in disdain, "You know if master hadn't stopped me, I would have burned that guy. How dare he disrespect my master."

Shizuku seeing the animosity in Tohru's eyes decided to change the topic, "Anyway, after that, I met him. He had come to observe 'The Kendo club'..."

Shea not understanding the term 'Kendo club' raised her hand, which for some reason reminds Shizuku of a diligent student.

"What is it?" Shizuku asked.

"What does Kendo club mean?" Shea asked not understanding what it meant.

"It is a place where interested people are taught swordsmanship and related martial arts," Shizuku explained.

Shea understanding nodded, "I see."

"So, where was I…"

"Master met you at Kendo club," Tohru reminded.

"Ah, yes. Then…"

After that, Shizuku explained how she asked for a challenge, and how she was easily defeated, then asked him to train her.

While she was explaining, in the middle of the explanation Myu joined in interested to know more about her papa.

Shizuku finished her story and took a deep breath.

"Wow~, big sister Shizuku does that mean it is because of Papa you are so cool and strong," Myu asked with sparkling eyes.

"Well, in a way yes," She answered smiling.

"Does that mean if I ask Papa to train me, I can also become cool like big sister Shizuku," Myu asked, her sparkling eyes glowing brighter.

"If you diligently train, you can also become strong. As for training, you should ask Rihito." 

Myu clenched her fist cutely and nodded, "Ok, I will ask Papa."

Shizuku then looked at Shea. "Now that you know about mine, tell me yours." Shizuku insisted.

Shea cleared her throat, and started, "It happened when I was in a life-threatening situation in Reisen Gorge, chased by a two-headed monster, desperately running away. Right when I was extremely exhausted and unable to run. He came to rescue me, saying, 'I am here, my lady'"

As Shizuku listened to Shea's story, she felt that something was off. When Shea's story describes Rihito saving her like a knight, Shizuku starts to feel weird. The Rihito she knew would never act that way. He would help, but not in a chivalrous manner. It seemed to Shizuku that Shea was embellishing the story to make it more fantastical and appealing to herself. She soon concluded that Shea was indeed twisting the story.

Shizuku's lips twitched seeing Shea with no shame spouting this story as if it really happened. Just when she was about to confront Shea, she heard Tohru who was silently listening to the story speak up.

"You, are not telling the truth," Tohru confronted Shea.

Shea suddenly being interrupted, felt silent, noticing the glare coming from Tohru she looked away, "N-no, I am not lying." She said with a slight stutter.

Tohru, seeing through her draconic eyes, knew she was telling the truth, but she felt something was off with the story. Her instincts told her so, and she trusted them.

Shizuku saw Tohru confronting Shea about not telling the truth and Shea looked everywhere except at them.

She then asked, "Tohru, when she was telling the story, was Shea lying?" She asked, wanting to confirm something.

Tohru looked at Shizuku, "I didn't detect any lies. But it wasn't the truth either, my instincts told me there was something off about the story."

"I see." Shizuku then looked at Shea, "As I expected, Shea you modified the story, didn't you?"

Shea getting caught tried to play dumb, "Modify? What do you mean?" She nervously said, her eyes darting everywhere.

Tohru this time detecting a lie said, "You lied just now."

"..."

Myu felt bored when she overheard her older sisters talking about something else. She was about to go back to swimming, but then she heard that her sister Shea was lying. Stopping in her tracks, Myu looked at Shea and furrowed her brow. She clearly remembered what Rihito had taught her - one of the things he said was "Papa said lying is bad."

Remembering Myu looked at Shea, "Big sister Shea bad." She stood in front of Shea and started to scold her.

"You know, papa said lying is bad. You shouldn't lie, big sister Shea."

Shea suddenly getting scolded by Myu felt her heart pierced.

"M-Myu no it's not like that, I can explain, please listen to me," Shea pleaded, but to her dismay. Myu rejects her mercilessly, "No! I don't want to hear. Big sister Shea must apologise or I won't talk to you anymore." She turned her head away.

Shea felt like she had been struck by thunder when she heard those words from Myu, which brought her to her knees. "I-I'm sorry Myu, I'm sorry I lied."

Shea on her knees apologised, which was quickly accepted by the little girl.

Myu getting close to Shea starts to pat the kneeling Shea. 

Shea feeling the sudden caress on her head looked up and saw Myu.

"Big sister Shea, don't worry. I can never hate you," Myu said with an angelic smile, giving Shea the illusion of an angelic halo on top of Myu whose light almost blinded her.

[Angel, she is an Angel.] Thinking that Shea got up and hugged Myu and started to cuddle.

"..."

Shizuku, Tohru, and the other girls watched everything unfold, from Myu scolding to Shea calling Myu an angel and hugging her. They couldn't deny that Myu was indeed an angel. Rihito and Hajime can wholeheartedly agree on that. And if anyone disagreed, well, they might receive two visitors who would kindly educate them on the error of their ways.

Yue sensing it was getting late stood up, "It's getting late, we should head back and rest properly for tomorrow."

Shea agreed and said, "Yes, we should get going." She then took Myu in her arms and briskly walked away, almost running.

Tohru also stood up, stretched her body, and walked behind everyone, leaving Shizuku alone in the bath.

Shizuku processed the entire event, veins bulging on her head. [That darn rabbit tricked me and ran away.]

The next day dawn.

"Papa, big brother I want to come too," Myu asked with pleading eyes. She wanted to go with Rihito and Hajime.

Hajime, "Never!"

Rihito, "Absolutely not!"

Rihito and Hajime will never allow Myu to fall into danger. Currently, they are about to go to Gruen Volcano, a place filled with traps. It can be said that the Gruen Volcano is one of the most dangerous places in this world. There is no way they will allow Myu anywhere near that place. They would rather die than let that happen.

Myu was denied harshly by her Papa and Big Brother, which made her teared up. "Does Papa, Big Brother hate me…" Myu ask.

Seeing Myu like this sent both Rihito and Hajime into a panic.

"Myu, no, it's not like that. I can never hate you," Rihito unknowingly used the same line as Myu had used previously. The girls noticed but stayed silent.

"Yeah, what Rihito said, we can never hate you. How about this after we come back, we will prepare a gift for you," Hajime proposed.

Myu hearing about the gift stopped tearing and looked at us, "Really?"

I nodded hurriedly, "Yes, and Don't worry, we have a special mission, that only you can accomplish," I said whisperingly. 

Hearing that Myu's eyes sparkled, "Really, what is it," she asked excitedly.

Seeing the excited Myu I put a finger on my Lips, "Shhh, do not scream or it will not be a secret anymore."

Myu understanding what I meant, covered her mouth with her hand, "ok," she said in a muffled voice.

After that, I assigned her the mission to protect Kaori, who was going to stay behind to take care of the Sevier patients. When Myu heard the mission, she saluted at me and said, "Leave it to me." It was such a cute gesture, which caused me to lose control, I hugged and cuddled her. Only to get reprimanded by Hajime, Shizuku, Shea and others.

Before I left, I secretly added a few extra defensive enchantments to her specially-made accessory. I then warned the king to keep an eye on Myu, or his Dukedom might suddenly collapse under the sand for unknown reasons. Hajime followed up by drawing 'Orkan', and to my slight surprise, even Tohru demonstrated a weakened dragon breath. I guessed Myu's cuteness had won her over. Anyway, this made it clear to the king that Myu should absolutely not be harmed.

Just when we were about to leave, Kaori suddenly grabbed Hajime.

Hajime confused looked at her.

Kaori blushed and put both of her index fingers together poking. "Hajime, could I give you a kiss? You know like a good luck charm."

The moment Kaori said that Rihito felt three intense stares on his back.

"..."

Myu hearing about the good luck kiss happily raised her hand, "I also want to give Papa and Big Brother a good luck kiss."

"..."

For now, I ignored the stares and crouched in front of Myu. Myu seeing me crouch happily stood in front of me and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Chu~"

Rihito observed Myu scooted towards Hajime, who was busy dealing with Kaori, Yue, and Tio, all vying to give him a kiss.

Shea, seeing Myu leave, tried to take a step forward, but a hand on her shoulder stopped her.

"Shea, where do you think you are going?" Shizuku asked, clutching Shea's shoulder in a slightly menacing tone.

"Ah, Shizuku, you know, I also want a good luck kiss," Shea responded with a smile.

"Yeah, I can guess that much, but why do you think I will let you go first," Shizuku said narrowing her eyes.

"So, you want to go first," Shea asked.

"Of course," with that response from Shizuku, both became tense and stared at each other to get the chance to be the first one to get a kiss.

While they both glare at each other, Tohru who was forgotten by them nonchalantly walks past them and stood front of Rihito, "Master."

Rihito looked at Tohru who was slightly shorter.

Rihito noticed Tohru's gaze and understood what she wanted. So, he didn't move and let Tohru initiate the kiss.

Tohru, seeing Rihito showing no sign of rejection, raised her hand and gently grabbed his cheeks. She tiptoed and gave him a peck on the lips, blushing as she backed away.

Shea and Shizuku who were confronting each other watch this and both of them realise that they just got one over by Tohru.

They both then looked at each other for a moment. Shea sensed Shizuku's grip loosen, used her superior strength and speed to get near Rihito, and looked back, indicating to Shizuku that it was her turn. She wrapped her hand around Rihito's neck and French kissed him.

Shizuku, who was feeling a bit down, watched as Rihito approached her, put his arms around her waist, and pulled her in for a deep kiss.

Shizuku suddenly gets kissed by Rihito in front of everyone, feels shy and tries to resist. But decides not to and grabs onto his coat to enjoy the kiss to her heart's content. She was the last to get the kiss, so it was fine, right?
