Mission 1

Taylor's Jaw dropped in awe and fear, he scrolled left. The info showed him information on Shih Tzus , what they like to eat, what they enjoy doing and where they liked to be rubbed. He scrolled right and more info kept pouring out.

"Incredible"!

One by one he stays scanning all the objects in the room and was more awed

"This is crazy, very crazy"

" Let's see mine, System show me my info ".

He stared eagerly as the system was loading his request, then it popped up, and his jaw drooped so low!

"Wow, this is amazing"!

"I've got Aarakocra powers !!"

He somersaulted on his bed and hit his leg on the bed post, then fell to the floor hard.

"Ouch!"

He saw a note attached to the lamppost and grabbed it, it was from his mom reminding him to take his keys because she wouldn't be home early that day.

After school, Jacob had to go for checkups, so it was just Taylor, but this time he didn't feel sad or lonely. He intended to use that time to get to know more about his system and abilities.

" It said baby bird level 1, system how many levels are there?"

[For each save your stats increase by 25, and currently you have made no saves, which is why you're still in the first level. After a total of 5 saves, you upgrade to the second level, which is where your equipment would become accessible.

There is no limit to the levels, you upgrade as you go further until you receive your D-cross badge. Thereafter, your system would no longer be needed as you will be bestowed with the blessing power of a Patron Deity.]

"Woah, that's really complicated"

"Well, what can I do now? Since I can't use equipment?"

[You have to complete basic tasks in the realm you are assigned to. I'll be of help to you to make sure you do them well.]

"So you're saying, I won't stay in one realm forever? Damn, that's going to be fun"

[Yes, for each save you would be assigned to a different realm. It wouldn't be that fun, so don't get your hopes up]

"So what do I do now"

[Your daily quests are yet to be done]

After dinner, words appeared in front of him

--Daily quest completed!

--Host's energy retained

He checked the time, it was 6:54. He had just 11 minutes before his first transmigration. He paced around the room anxiously, ticking off time in his head.

Every few seconds, his eyes would glare at the timer on the lamppost and sigh. He was anxious to the point of sweating profusely, just then the timer said 7:05 and he swallowed.

The status page on his info changed,

The transmigration level said "processing" and he felt like his soul was leaving his body. The room started getting dimmer, and soon it was pitch black, the timer automatically set to 00:00. He felt a presence in the room.

A ray of purple light burst into the room, it enlarged and became a portal. It looked just like the one his soul passed through on its way to the Realm of Mythical Creatures. He slowly passed through it, trying not to fidget as he felt his body being pressed together tightly, his chest heaved heavily as he was traveling and there were loud noises everywhere. Then there was silence.

His body was drenched with perspiration and his head was banging crazily,

"That was horrible" he muttered

He managed to get up but staggered as he barely had any energy left in him, he checked his stats and saw his energy was replenishing and heaved a sigh of relief. He started taking note of his environment, it was all green, and it looked like a high plateau. He looked farther and froze, chills ran through his body and he swallowed nothing.

He was on a mountain!!

His acrophobia started acting up, and his whole body started shaking furiously, he managed to move his legs, but he didn't move any further before they failed him.

"How am I supposed to make saves if I can't get over my phobia. I have to do it, I must do it" he assured himself wholly and began walking again.

He didn't walk for long before he came up on a village by the hills, the inhabitants were rather odd-looking from his perspective. Avian humanoids were all over the place, some with heads of eagles, owls, parrots, sparrows, others with rather odd-looking faces he couldn't place in.

He looked around searching for a quest, but firstly, he had to know where he was

" Show me the map of this village"

A pictorial of the hillside village popped up before him

--Map acquired!

He was in a little village called Naermur within the Cloven mountains on the Vilhon Reach, it was one of the four colonies of Faerûn . The realm of Aarakocras. He started wandering around, the village looked like a normal one for their kind, but it still looked weird to him.

He wandered about and came up on an arena, it looked like a fighting arena and there were two beings in the ring. No one was winning as they both had the same strength level. He sneaked around unnoticed trying to get a better vie of the interesting fight, he bumped into a hefty man and apologized immediately, but the man was having none of it.

"Ain't looking where are you going ey lad?"

He fumed

" I'm truly sorry sir" he muttered scared.

The man grabbed him and threw him into the ring, distracting other wrestlers as the attention turned to them immediately. He started crawling back with fear as the gigantic man furiously stomped towards him.

"After today lad, you'll start using your eyes for what they were meant for"

Taylor swallowed as the man made a fist, he was panicking inwardly hoping the man would stop, but the fist was already in the air ready to blow his guts right out of his mouth. The fist was coming in quickly, and he couldn't think of any defense modes.

" If only time could stop right now "he thought, he closed his eyes waiting for the killing blow but nothing came

-- Time stop activated!

"What?." He looked around shocked as the fist was now coming in at a pace slower than a snail's

He rolled over quickly and got up

"Deactivate Time stop"!

--Time stop deactivated

The man's fist smashed to the ground, and he gnashed his teeth in agony. Before Taylor could process his next move, someone in the crowd grabbed him and yelled,

"Run."

He ran as fast as his legs could, but the man and a few others were on their heels, he looked at the man holding him and noticed something off about him. He looked oddly familiar even from the back and the next minute they were off the ground, the man was now a full bird carrying him through the village. The villagers shouted On top of their voices after them, but none of them flew after them.

He breathed a sigh of relief on seeing that and closed his eyes, trying not to look down for fear of falling, the bird man continued flying until they were out of the village completely. He found a spot in a grazing field filled with emus and landed.

Taylor slowly opened his eyes, surprised he was still alive, he breathed out in relief and finally got a full view of his saviors face. He looked so familiar, too familiar even.

"Hi, I'm Liam, "the stranger said with a smile.
