"You guys better be quick I've got no time for beating around the bush so go straight to the point," she said in her usual cold, domineering tone.
Couldn't this lady speak politely for once in her life?
"Mr. Wong...?" she questioned the middle-aged man with her scrutinizing eyes expecting him to start.
"Y-yes," he continued, "As we all know, your former Secretary accidentally leaked your photos to the Internet two weeks ago, knowing fully well that your identity must not be disclosed for several reasons and now everyone knows who the president of Li Corporation is, though we can't just accuse her without any evidence indicating she did it intentionally, one thing is for sure..." he paused, he tried to catch a glimpse of her for any sign of human reaction. She was a very scary woman indeed.
He waved her indifference aside and continued "We will have to take action, if it was done intentionally as I suspect, it is a warning sign because it can be assumed to be a threat to you and the company you've worked so hard to b..."
" So what's your solution" she cut in as she shifted her gaze to Mr. Huang "Mr. Huang, I assume you have the solution for this issue since you have one for everything."
"Yes, well umm..." he spoke nervously, his palm already sweaty because what he was going to say wasn't funny "So we have thought of it and came to an agreement".
She looked at him curious to know.
"We all are aware that the President of Qin Empires is your rival... though you two aren't exactly rivals... you two carry out your work effectively and efficiently and are number one in the country. You two are also on par with e..."
"What are you insinuating? Get to the point" she cut in, the darkness in her aura growing with each passing second.
"We suggest that you get... married to him".
'What the hell? Are these people completely out of their minds' she thought, sweeping her gaze over to Mr. Wong before returning it to Mr. Huang indicating him to go on with her eyes.
"This is because if a threat happens to befall the company you can be prepared by being partners with Mr. Qinn which can benefit the company a lot and his too, your combo will make a very strong impact in the business world."
" It's just like killing two birds with one stone" Mrs. Zhao interjected, a woman in her mid-thirties.
"Think about it President it's a nice shot," Mr. Wong added and they all nodded in agreement.
"So this is the 'solution' for my problem, Mr. Huang? She asked as if she didn't just hear what the other two had just said stressing on that one word 'solution'.
" I'm sorry but it's the only solution I could c..."
"Meeting dismissed," she said as she walked out of the conference room.
As she walked into her office she was greeted by the presence of a figure sitting at her desk. It was her best friend, Mia.
"Hi Ivy, long time no see" she stood up from the chair approaching her friend "You couldn't even give your friend a call, so much for being a BEST FRIEND," she said sarcastically as they were face to face with each other.
Mia was from the Song family, a prominent family all thanks to her career choice, but it still couldn't match up to the Lis or Qins. She was a very beautiful and successful actress.
Ivy just ignored her and pretended as if she didn't hear her and walked passed her as she sat at her desk opening her laptop for some work.
Mia was used to her attitude and she knew the buttons to push to make her react, although it didn't work every time because her friend was an unreadable book, she still gave it a try.
"Flash marriage, huh?" she asked as she landed on the couch ever so casually, earning a devilish look from her friend, but she completely ignored it and continued, "And that too with the bastard billionaire CEO of Qin Empires, interesting," she said nodding her head slowly as if trying to wrap her head around something that just couldn't sink in.
With that, Ivy finally spoke "What have I told you about eavesdropping when I'm in a meeting?" she asked, her attention finally drawn from her computer to her friend.
"Chillax, it's not like it's top secret or anything like that, besides everyone is gonna find out sooner or later especially me cos I'm your BEST FRIEND" she stressed on the 'best friend' once again forming an invisible quotation mark with her fingers.
"How were you even able to get there," she asked completely ignoring her.
" I used the golden keycard you gave me. Looks like you have a new secretary I had a hard time convincing him. He's tough, I even had to summon the other staff to tell him who I am, he hesitated for a while, hmm pretty loyal though," she paused "But I must admit, he is got," she winked mischievously at her, crossing her long legs casually.
She wore a white short-fitted mini skirt that revealed her beautiful long fair thighs and a purple halter top. Her Purple heels were already at the side of the couch, she was barefoot. Her long mid-length silky brown hair was held up in a ponytail style. She was very beautiful but her beauty could not be compared to her friend. Ivy was a Goddess.
She was dressed in a simple black blazer and trousers with a white turtle neck shirt and a pair of black heels. Her straight black hair waved behind her like a goddess. She still looked dazzling as ever.
"If you just came here to talk about my 'hot' secretary kindly use the door," Ivy said with her arms folded.
"Ooh looks like someone's getting possessive over her Secretary," Mia purred, earning another glare from her friend. "Okay fine I'll stop, but first I have to cheer you up a bit. So I've got an idea", she said grinning widely. Only God knew what was going on in that head of hers. But there's only one way to find out.
