Irresponsible

'Didn't this girl just say that she's a queen and they never get late so...' Ivan thought, confused, 'queen my foot.' He didn't even want to think further on it or he might just get a migraine, he just shook his head and went after her after grabbing his keys.

'Okay, you flattered me, but I would've preferred if you used ants' attraction to sugar instead of flies' attraction to a corpse, yeesh! so gross do you always have to think of a negative aspect?' he rolled his eyes when he thought back to what his sister had said about him and ladies in contrast to flies and a corpse.

Shortly after, they were on the road, driving in silence. Ivy was going through her phone and Ivan was glancing at her from time to time. The silence was getting intense.

Just when he was about to make a turn to the right, in the direction of Li Corporation, Ivy spoke up.

"Left."

The car came to a halt and Ivan looked at her instantly with a questioning look in his eyes.

"Didn't you hear me, or can't you differentiate left from right?"

"Are you maybe... Uhm... forgetting something?"

Ivy finally looked up from her phone and met his questioning gaze on her, she closed her hand in a fist and put it under her chin as if in contemplation before she answered.

"Well, maybe I am... because according to science, forgetfulness is a sign of intelligence and maturity."

Ivan rolled his eyes, "Could you maybe tell me where exactly you got that from?"

"I have my sources, bro."

"Like your phone?"

"Whatever, just go left, left," she said using her left hand to point at the left.

He just stared at her shaking his head in disbelief at the woman sitting beside him. "This isn't..."

"Just do as I say," Ivy said in a serious tone with no tinge of playfulness in it.

"You're getting late for work, there's no time for play..."

"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm a queen and queens are never late."

Ivan looked stunned. 'Is this girl okay? She keeps changing her statement,' he said inwardly to himself.

He didn't want to think much about it because he has encountered similar situations like this, especially with her, and when he goes deep into thought about it, he ends up having a migraine, he did what he was told and a certain queen was grinning from ear to ear at her phone, she wasn't smiling at her phone, but to herself.

Soon, the car was moving with Ivy telling him the directions he should follow; left and right and he silently obeyed.

They reached a sudden area and Ivan suddenly halted. 'Why does this place seem familiar,' he wondered to himself narrowing his eyes to a slit.

He looked around, looking at the scenery of tall trees aligned at each path leading to a large silver gate on the right with the calligraphic initials, 'QE' etched on it.

It was Ivy's turn to snap her head toward him with a questioning look in her eyes mixed with annoyance.

She wanted to speak up but held back as soon as the car started moving once again.

For the last time, she showed him the last direction which was on the right, which was pretty obvious.

He couldn't believe what this sister of his was up to when he was in front of a certain huge building.

His eyes were wide open with his mouth agape.

He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the different large buildings in front of them, his eyes frozen on the steering wheel.

He looked at the low-key 'sly fox' sitting beside him before he returned his gaze to the building.

'Qin-Qin empires?! ah jeez. What's this lady up to,' he wondered to himself.

"Drive in, bro," she woke him up from his trance, he obediently drove in after swallowing a huge lump in his throat.

There was a checkpoint heavily guarded by hefty security men who were smartly dressed in black suits and shades, and Bluetooth devices inserted into their ears.

The entrance to the main building was blocked with a barricade. Ivan rolled down the window because one of the men had summoned him to do so.

One of the guards was touching his Bluetooth device and saying something while glancing at the two inside the car, he nodded shortly and mouthed a 'yes sir' as if receiving a message from an unknown end. Surprisingly, he made a signal to another security man, he immediately understood and lifted the barricade and Ivan drove in.

It took a while before they reached the main entrance. Damn, this place was heavily guarded. Ivy smiled because she knew the problem the company was facing so the security was tripled from the normal state.

Two guards were standing at the door and their gaze was directed to the car in which Ivan and Ivy were.

Ivan stopped the car, before Ivy came out, she brought out a pair of black shades from her purse and put them on.

She stepped out and the wild wind whirling around the vast land came with full force but t didn't loosen the bun Ivan made perfectly, though the few strands he left over her face flew wildly behind her due to the speed she was walking.

Ivan smiled to himself in pride at his work and drove out. He didn't know why, but he felt like a certain iceberg wouldn't hurt her and wouldn't let anything harm her.

She walked elegantly with poise, she took fast but steady strides until she reached the entrance with the few strands still flying wildly behind her.

The two men in black didn't notice that their mouth was left hanging open the moment she came out of the car.

They immediately recognized her as the President of Li corporations. They didn't even realize it when they bowed down slightly but respectfully while opening the door for her to enter.

All the heads of the staff turned they didn't know why, but the aura emanating from this lady was similar to that of their president not to mention her enticing beauty.

She walked past the receptionist leaving her in shock, she didn't even bother to spare her a glance. She flushed red out of embarrassment, this lady just treated her like thin air.

She went straight to the elevator, pushed the button, and went inside. The elevator was made of glass from every corner, top, bottom, and side. The glass was tinted, she could see everything, but no one outside the elevator could see who or what was going on inside.

It took a while to reach the top floor since there were many floors in this particular building. A ding resounded in the elevator when it reached the top floor and it opened.

The only room there was the president's office and the receptionist's desk was vacant which she found quite weird and irresponsible and a deep frown settled on her forehead as she took of her black shade and her mood turned sour. She hissed and went inside the office, no one was there either.

How can a good-looking and responsible-looking man be this irresponsible tsk? He couldn't even lock his door given that his receptionist isn't even around.
