(Mort's POV)

'Hmmm... How does this work?' I ask myself as I look at this small puzzle. It was very unlike what they have on earth. It's more of a block, which makes it a bit more complicated. Also the fact that everything is still blurry isn't helping at all.

It's been a few months. Everything is still blurry... Maybe I'm blind? I still don't know, but I hope not, and it's just the baby visions.

[ Status:

Name: Mort

Race: Human Infant

Age:11-months-old

Level: 0 |•——————————|

Talents: (N/A)

Abilities: (None)

These past few months, the little demons in the orphanage discovered me. They've been annoying me ever since, trying to make me their living doll.

"WAAAAAHHHH!!!" I screamed as Noel, this demon — was trying to meddle with my puzzle! These few months I have been able to control my body, and I've finally learned how to crawl.

Marianne and Father Mateo were making a ruckus when they first saw me doing that. Although I kept on bumping into things due to my blurry eyesight, I guess it was kind of impressive... I guess...

"Noel! Why is Mort crying again!" Marianne scolds Noel and carries me in her embrace. Marianne's hair is long straight orange, although some might call it red, I was not having any of that sh#t.

Noel is an 8-year-old boy with blond hair. As for their eyes, I can't see it clearly, so I can't tell.

Noel looked up at us and started sniveling, making Marianne sigh and kneel down at Noel's level. Meanwhile Noel sits on his knees, on the ground , Marianne begins to pat his head and apologizes.

"I'm sorry, Noel for shouting at you. You know how rarely Mort cries and it got me worried..." Marianne explains to Noel in a soft motherly voice. I was having none of this sh#tty consoling as I try to get out of Marianne's embrace and reach out for my puzzle.

Marianne noticed this and placed me down on the ground to crawl my way to the puzzle. In the corner of my mind, I see Noel nodding softly while sniffing as he seeks Marianne's warm hugs.

I scoff internally and ignore their warm scene, as I try to solve the puzzle as best as I can. I concluded it was a colored one, so I did it based on color.

I managed to make it into a cube, but I'm still not sure if that's right. I grew frustrated and decided to set it aside to find something more interesting instead. I can hear Marianne chuckling as she watches my moves.

'Seriously, what a sadistic woman you are... How can you laugh at my frustrations.' I rolled my eyes internally as I am still not able to do that yet. Immediately remembering the existence of magic I then turned my head to Marianne and began to crawl towards her.

Marianne seems amused by that as she covers her mouth with her hands as she stares at me with wide eyes, shining like whatever...

I then sat in front of her and took one of her hands. I looked up at her with wide eyes and began to tap her hands while glaring at her expectantly. She didn't understand, making me frustrated. Noel looked at me with wonder and understanding.

"He wants you to do something..." Noel turns to Marianne. 'THAT'S RIGHT! FOR ONCE YOU ARE USEFUL, FINALLY, NOEL!' I cheered in my mind as I looked up at Noel with stars in my eyes. Noel stared back at me and suddenly embraced me in a tight hug. I screamed and Marianne couldn't help but chuckle at this oh-so-lovely-bonding.

This is why I keep on shoo-ing Noel away. He was too touchy and skinship is not my thing. I feel my frustration reaching its peak and I take a deep breath and scream with all my might.

Noel let go and I stopped screaming. Noel looks like he's about to cry once again as he mutters to himself; "Does Mort not like me?" Marianne goes up to Noel and consoles him but he was too busy crying as he then realized the problem.

I had enough of this sh#t and turns away. If Marianne won't show me magic, then I don't care. I huffed in anger as I began to crawl away from them, that was before Marianne's hand took my body and carried me close to her chest while still hugging Noel to stop crying, but he won't stop.

I was starting to get annoyed when suddenly the door was bursted open and Father Mateo was there with rogue breaths. He looked like he ran in a hurry to get here.

"What happened?" He asks in worry. I discovered recently he wasn't that old despite his deep, raspy voice of an old man, full of wisdom. He was still in his mid thirties and he was only having a cold that day which made his voice sound much older.

His hair was black and had some strands of gray due to his growing age approaching 40's. It was slicked back in a style which I respect. He has a beard that weirdly matches his face with thick square brown glasses. Think of a husband-material daddy as an example, except with that kind of features.

They all looked at him in surprise and I used that chance to escape this woman's embrace! UGH!!!! GOO!!!

And I failed. dang this baby body...

**Ting**

That familiar sound once again, I then saw the game panel in front of my eyes once again.

[ Missions:

1. Take your first 10 steps as a baby without falling. ]

'What in the sh#tty hell is this again?' I look at that panel with a deadpan.

{{Fun Fact: Did you notice that Mort's favorite word is; sh#t?}}

⟨⟨§••••••••••••••••••§⟩⟩

Please like, add this to your library, and give vote/ powerstone

Warning:

•Pictures are not mine, unless I tell its mine(btw you can see it in the paragraph comment section{Webnovel)

•Many wrong grammar

•May have been pronoun problem

•May have some typo
