Chapter 6 - They Couldn't Possibly...

Good things come in small packages, but not in this case. The Chief Detective thought as he looked at the CCTV footage of the interrogation going on.

"Hmm" he murmured as he rubbed his chin in thought. "This is dragging on longer than I thought."

Just then, there was a knock on the door. The Chief Detective granted them permission to enter.

"Sir," the ladies said. "The forensics team have finished combining some clues through the school's CCTV footage and it seems that they have found something."

They handed the tablet to the chief. A grainy footage clip of a CCTV camera started rolling at the press of the play button. It showed an empty corridor. Then a few minutes later a figure walked into view. It was the principal. He was walking down the corridor. Stumbling a little down the hallway.

The lady spoke up as if she read the Chief's mind. "Over the past few weeks leading up to his death, the victim made several complaints of nausea, dizziness, difficultyin breathing and chest tightness. He was also occasionally rambling about how someone was out to get him."

"Hmm, was he on some sort of drugs?"

"The autopsy concluded to have found traces of Tobacco and Opium in his system but a high compound ratio of something else."

The Chief cocked an eyebrow at her.

"Poison. Sodium Cyanide poison to be exact."

His eyes shot open. And he looked back at the interrogation monitor, at the school children.

Doubts started to form. "These kids couldn't possibly....right?" He asked himself.
