The heavens wept on the day of White Fang's funeral. Rain drummed a somber rhythm against the sea of umbrellas and canopies, a fitting accompaniment to the occasion. Each raindrop fell in silent tribute, like tears mourning the loss of the legendary Hatake Sakumo.
Amid the crowd stood Kakashi Hatake, his eyes concealed behind the familiar mask of his past self. His heart, heavy with grief and unresolved anger, pounded with every solemn drop that fell from the sky. Nearby, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, stood with a somber expression, preparing to address the assembly.
As the Hokage began his speech, Kakashi's gaze swept over the sea of faces. The Sannin—Jiraiya and Orochimaru—were present, their expressions a mix of sorrow and contemplation. Leaders of various clans, including the Uchiha and the Nara, bore witness to this moment, their eyes reflecting both the rain and the grief enveloping the village.
Hiruzen's voice, though steady, carried an undertone of sadness. "Hatake Sakumo was a man of great honor and strength. His contributions to Konoha were immeasurable, and his sacrifice for the village will never be forgotten. He fought with unparalleled courage and gave his all for the sake of our home."
Kakashi's fingers clenched at his sides. The Hokage's words resonated in his mind, fueling the fire within him, making him want to question Hiruzen why he didn't say this when his father was alive. He could not change Sakumo's final decision—his father's choice to end his own life. The dishonor and the burden of grief were now his alone to bear. His father's death, marked by the tragic fall from grace, had left him with an unbearable weight.
Around him, whispers threaded through the crowd, their murmurs a tapestry of judgment. Some called Sakumo a coward, tainting his final moments with scorn. Others gossiped about Kakashi, suggesting his reaction to the loss was typical—just another part of grieving. His father's fall had cast a shadow over his own reputation, making him a target for such whispers.
"Can you believe it?" one villager whispered. "He committed suicide instead of taking responsibility for his faults."
The Nara clan future leader, Shikaku, observed the scene with a thoughtful expression. "This loss could have significant implications for our village's future," he said quietly to his assistant. "Sakumo was a formidable shinobi. We'll need to adjust our strategies and think ahead."
Jiraiya, standing nearby, shook his head, his face etched with sorrow. "Such a tragic end," he said to himself. "Sakumo was a great man, and it's hard to see what's become of his legacy."
Orochimaru, ever the observer, glanced at Kakashi with a hint of curiosity. "Fascinating," he said to himself. "The depth of Kakashi's reaction could either drive him to great heights or lead him down a darker path. I wonder which direction he'll choose."
As the Hokage concluded his speech, Kakashi felt a peculiar sensation—a subtle, almost imperceptible buzz at the edge of his consciousness. He turned his attention from the ceremony and noticed a shimmering, ethereal screen materializing before him, incongruous against the solemn backdrop.
Gacha System Activated
Kakashi's eyes widened slightly, though he made no move to draw attention. It had been five years since his reincarnation as Kakashi Hatake, and he had tried everything to call upon a system or find any perks, but without success but now it came when his only family member died.He could hear some villagers expressing their concerns, interpreting his reaction to the gacha system as a normal shock from grief.
As the crowd began to disperse, Kakashi remained absorbed in the glimmering interface of the system. His vow remained unspoken but clear. He would honor his father's legacy and pursue the vengeance he so ardently sought. The gacha system would be his guide, his tool, and perhaps the means to forge a new path of justice and retribution.
A few villagers approached him with condolences, offering sympathy and empty words of comfort. Kakashi accepted their gestures with a polite nod, keeping his true emotions hidden beneath the mask. He didn't find any goodness in it, when sakumo was alive nobody came in his support now after his death they came to give condolence He will take revenge against Hiruzen, Danzo , shinobi who his father saved the public who accused him. Sakumo died so I can survive and I will live so everyone else responsible for his death directly or indirectly die including this public.
With one final, resolute glance at the rain-soaked village, Kakashi Hatake stepped forward into his new life, ready to face whatever challenges awaited him in his quest for revenge.
