Chapter 29 : Out of the box (Part 3)

"There is an old saying in the scientist circle and that is, "New Invention is like firing an arrow in the dark." And for myth his last explosion was that arrow.

After learning a bit about alchemy myth started doing experiments on his own, Thanks to him being a complete rookie in alchemy and a scientist by occupation, myth was open to new ideas, At start myth was practicing this world's alchemy but after the end of second day myth had completely changed his way of alchemy practice and as a result by the end of a week he had invented five new less alchemical and more mechanical looking like items.

A fine morning, three men could be seen standing in the front of a table and on the table are five items of different size and shapes :- two of them are of circular shape and one rectangular and the rest have irregular shapes.

After few minutes of silence stuart with a puzzled expression asked - what are these?

"These, These are my new babies" replied myth while tinkering with a few stones on the corner.

let me introduce to you to "encryption breaker".

Said myth while grabbing a circular item from a table, Do you remember the explosion from the last time, it is the upgraded version of it. Once thrown it creates a small explosion. Saying this he threw the ball toward the wall of the mansion.

With a booming sound all the encryption on the wall broke.

Then he grabbed an another object from the top of the table, It was rectangular shaped object with uneven holes on the whole machine and a button in the center.

He placed it on the ground and then he pressed the central button. Then multicolored and rotating light started coming out from it.

What did it do? asked stuart.

Well, it is already working replied myth with a embarrassed expression on his face.

Wait, what! A disco light. said stuart with an expression of are you seriously showing us this garbage.

In order to save some face for myth Albus said, "Well its quite festive".

Next he grab the other circular item. This is flaming liater, It has flaming root and sulphur in the outer shell once thrown both of them get mixed and create a blaze and in the center there wind element material helpful for starting fire. After ignition it will start a big blazing fire.

After he finished talking the atmosphere became strange.

"Arsonist".

All three spectator said nothing and even the wind had calm down as if the whole world is witnessing the birth of an arsonist.

If this was a MMORPG world then myth would be getting an notification of "Class acquired ARSONIST".

"Let me take a look" Gellart raised his hand with an interested expression.

After taking flaming liater he studied it for a while and then he started looking here and there with a calculative look and then he asked "what is the range of this thing".

"Well, Not sure but maybe 20-30 meters" replied myth with an embarrassed look because he hadn't tested it yet.

This place look bit small let's find a big place saying this he touched myth's shoulder with one hand and he signalled others to touch him as well and then with a whoosh sound all four of them disappeared from there and appeared somewhere in a frozen forest.

Where are we? asked Albus.

Somewhere safe and Where no one would disturb us replied Gellart.

"What are you planning to do?" asked stuart with a puzzled expression.

A little experiment and after saying this he asked Myth "how to use it".

Myth pointed toward a red button on the machine and said just press and throw it.

Hearing this Gellart nodded and said to everyone "come closer or you all might get hurt". With a flick of his hand a wand appeared in his hand and with another flick a small flame lit up at the end of the wand. Seeing this seen Albus eyes widened a bit and then he looked toward Gellart who was also looking toward Albus from the corner of his eyes. This one look had told him everything that Albus needed to know. Hurriedly he pulled Stuart and myth toward himself and he also took a step in the direction of Gellart. Seeing everything and everyone ready Gellert cast a blazing fire spell around him and in seconds the surrounding turned from freezing forest to burning forest. The fire was intense and everything around then almost turned to ashes in few seconds. Eventhough the fire was burning so intensely but myth and others were not affected, At best they are feeling a bit warm.

Get ready saying this Gellart pressed the red button and then he threw the device a bit far from them and the moment the device landed on the ground it ignited into flames. But just then, something strange happened all flames from the device got attracted toward the flames that was created from Gellart spell and in just a moment all the flames merged together and now Gellart's flames became more strong and its temperature also increased.

Oh I get it now said Gellart as If he had a new understanding toward his own spell.

His smiling face was telling a fact that he had made a new breakthrough in his spell, Seeing him happy Albus also started smiling and as we all know smile is contagious so in the end everyone started smiling.

Thank you, He thanked Myth and one could easily tell that he was genuinely happy, One after another everyone congratulated Gellart for his breakthrough. Let's go back he said and then he once again touched myth's shoulder and others also touched each other, With a whoosh sound they once again disappeared and appeared in the front of mansion.

'What do the rest of these things do ?" asked stuart with a bit of excitement. He would have never thought that myth could make so many good inventions in just a week.

Well, these (replied myth with a bit of embarrassment), On paper, these things looked great but in reality it turned out that few items have different effects when combined and as a result these two are failed items that do nothing, but these two have ragged edges so we could injured someone by throwing it on them. Saying this he threw the first item toward the stones he had placed at the beginning. Unfortunately it missed them completely, With an embarrassed smile he again threw the second item toward the stone and once again it missed, leaving frozen Stuart, Albus, Gellart and a myth in his throwing position.
